There was NO response at any access doors. There was NO prior provision for us to receive the exterior entry door nor Apt. entry codes. We were not able to get a response from knocking on exterior doors at the rear landings. The single front street door had combo lock, but no response. After MORE than 1 hour one of 3 “host” (their term not ours) drove to the building because one of the downstairs restaurant employees very kindly contacted a THIRD party who reportedly had a contact text number for him. The building has a broken, not to be fixed elevator. That made it necessary t bring heavy suitcases up 3 flights of wooden exterior stairs. Other Understandingly Unpleasant Experiences during stay: The Krueg coffee maker was not only not expected, there were no courtesy coffee pods to enable having 1 or 2 cups of coffee prior to going to a store to purchase pods. Though we traveled with other groceries, do not use them coffee pods and will probably give the box…we later purchased …away. Oh…AND the “coffee maker” did NOT work beyond dispensing 1/2 cup of coffee. The toaster was missing a protective lever cover. It was therefore necessary to improvise by using the metal ring from a bottle opener to push, or in this case , to pull down the lever. After dropping bread into the toaster, we learned to “stand ready” to catch toasted slices as they sprung from the toaster.
