Not to mention the service is always awesome. it snowed about 6 inches and the owner came out and shoveled during and after the storm as well as kept up with salting. It was really quaint and cozy. Everything was clean, the hosts were thoughtful,had everything set up for, and were easy to communicate with even as they respected our privacy. Lovely place to chill in the evening, and if you're looking to see Harper's Ferry and/or hike the many trails in the area, you can't beat the location. The Trundle suite is cozy but had everything we needed. The Trundle suite is the lower level but we had no issues with noise from the upstairs unit. Lily's is out the top of the hill in Harper's Ferry. There is a sidewalk to town for access the restaurants. The Carriage House room which we rented was great - bigger than a hotel room with lots of local flavor, but was also clean and functional. Owners live next door and are responsive to needs. Local area has very few restaurants or grocery stores, but the proprietors provide some food for free included in the price of the room. It was a welcome amenity. Our suite was spacious with a very practical kitchen. The hotel staff took our breakfast order and had it waiting in the room for us when we arrived. The yard has a nice swing which we used in the evening. This place is walking distance from Harper's Ferry lower town; however, walking back is uphill so take that into consideration if you're walking into the history area. The property is absolutely charming and full of character as is this part of Harpers Ferry. Breakfast was DIY which suited us fine and we were supplied with all the food we could wish for including a quiche which did us for supper on two nights.
