« Small farm town feel. Nice job renovating the location. If you’re looking at cooking or doing in the kitchen, they have everything you need there. Lighting in the bedroom throughout the night. It is pretty light with the street lights as there are no shades so if your used to sleeping in dark rooms that will not happen here. Very historic building we were not there very much other than to just sleep. »

« We had a lovely stay at the Purple Victorian. We were in town for a wedding that evening, and its close proximity without a two night minimum stay made it absolutely perfect for us. I loved the style and charm of the room. It was especially ideal for Valentine’s Day. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had one of the best nights of sleep I have had in a long time. Check in was seamless, and communication with the host was quick and easy. We highly recommend staying here. »

The pillows were better than more expensive places I've stayed. I do think they need to dilute the bleach (or whatever they use) they wash the bedding in. « The entire hotel is under renovation. The lobby was filthy and all the furniture was stacked in the corner and under tarps. The elevator was missing the ceiling tiles and the breakfast room was under full renovation. When I booked the room the description of the property said continental breakfast, but the staff said there was no breakfast. I was also told that I would not be given a discount or refund. Additionally, there was no refrigerator, or hairdryer in the room. »
