The views are amazing and the space relaxing. The tub is extra deep for soaking. Extra towels in the closet by the upstairs bathroom. There are blackout curtains in the bedrooms. The ground floor has radiant heat. The kitchen has granite countertops, a dishwasher, stainless steel appliances and is very well stocked for cooking. The water is from a with a special water filter, for some of the cleanest water you will ever have. Please note that since this is rural Vermont, the internet is not extremely fast. The two lower bedrooms (on the second floor) each have 3 pocket doors which can be opened for more open space or closed and locked for privacy. The second floor also has a couch set in front of many windows for a relaxing space and view. There are two yoga mats available for use, along with an exercise ball, games, puzzles, beach chairs and coolers. There are two hair dryers, an iron and ironing board, two suitcase stands upstairs, a fan in the upstairs closet for the few warm days in VT, extra blankets in the basket next to the TV, and HDMI and Apple cords to attach your tech to the TV. There are also a few leaves for the dining table in the closet under the stairs for larger family dinners. There is a BBQ under the outside stairs for use. There is also a deck upstairs with furniture to relax on. Please conserve energy and don't turn up the heat too much, turn off electricity when you leave the home on excursions, and close windows so the rain doesn't get in and it stays warm in winter. All areas of the home are available except for the smaller loft which is currently being used as storage. Positives: The house is strikingly nice inside, with thoughtfully placed furnishings and linens, comfortable beds, lots of light and big windows, and very well-outfitted kitchen. Everything is of good quality and feels lovingly chosen. Negatives: The listing doesn't make it clear that there's another house sharing the property and driveway, and that the two are pretty close together. The deck/patio pictured seems to have been dismantled, and the one small deck on the upper floor faces the driveway and the other house, so there's really nowhere nice to sit outside. The stream at the end of the mowed walk is down a steep weedy slope so not something to hang out at. This probably doesn't matter to most people, but we were hoping to be far away from any neighbors and to spend time outside when the weather was nice. All that said, the surrounding roads are great for walking, and this is a comfortable and lovely place in a gorgeous part of the state. ##### Carolyn K. Such cozy beds, very clean and calming spaces. Being about to use the upstairs as separate rooms or one large space is useful for quality family time. House it outfitted with all you need for a short stay or a long stay. Location has access to all the fun stuff in central Vermont, with views, sounds, smells of the countryside. ##### Elizabeth B. We were about 40 min from the facility and we all slept well. There wasn’t reliable Wi-Fi or cable at the property, which was our only complaint, but we played board games and did puzzles which was better anyway! ##### asedf d. It had everything we needed and the decor was fun! The beds were comfortable and the deep bathtub was a treat. This modern home was a delightful surprise. It is just as advertised in terms of rooms, beds, and the huge kitchen. We arrived the first time in the dark, and it was a bit tricky. It is so dark in rural Vermont, that we could see the Milky Way clearly overhead. This is a plus for sure, but finding the house was required careful attention to the mailbox numbers and Stacey's instructions. We got in using the number code in the mudroom after a couple of tries. The large king bed in great. The queen mattress is pretty worn down, but certainly useable. We didn't go up into the loft. The ladder would be fine for some younger people (or kids) but we didn't need the space. There is a large variety of pots and pans and a gas stove/oven. The table has leaves in the storage area, if you have more than 4 or 5 for dinner. There is a large angled couch that is great for reading or snuggling. There is no microwave or toaster, but there is a small toaster oven that works well. Make sure to follow the guidelines of recycling. Bins are on the mudroom porch. Also, we carefully filled her request - no shoes in the house. Bring some slippers The only negative is the Internet. The DSL is basically inoperative during waking hours. Our son came over and tested it, and confirmed that we were getting little or no signal. At times during the day, you can connect for short periods of time. We also had Verizon phones which do not function in this part of Vermont. If you are going to stay for any length of time, switch to AT&T. We were here for a month and it was tough to be out of touch that long. And no, Cabot does not have any internet cafes :-). In short, this beautiful home is just as advertised. It is incredibly quiet and clean. I highly recommend it, especially if you'd like to "unplug" from your electronics. Don't forget to check out the stars. This is a dark sky area, for sure. We were here for the peak of fall color and driving the backroads was a real treat. ##### Andrea H. This was exactly what we needed. The bedroom setup is a little odd if you weren't a close family, since all bedrooms have sliding doors to the great room, with one bathroom to share. But it worked great for our family. The home was modern and clean, too. ##### Lyda A. The location is perfect for a secluded getaway, rural, but not overly so; 25 minute drive to Montpelier for groceries but the local store had many of the amenities that we needed (including tasty pizza, beer and wine). The house itself is warm and inviting, the upstairs is perfect for watching the sunrise and the kitchen is very well equipped with all the cooking supplies two city chefs could need! My boys enjoyed the spacious home and loft and absolutely no issues with Wifi or cell service. Even with 8 inches of snow on our last day, the plows were early and dare I say did a better job than snow plowing in Boston! Stacey was quick to respond to our questions, we would very much consider booking this property again on a return trip to Vermont. ##### Jennifer L. The place was very nice and could have accommodated far more people. It was in the middle of nowhere which is exactly what we wanted. My only complaints are that there was hardly any water pressure in the shower and the internet speeds were kind of slow. That's some nitpicking though because I'm sure that's consistent with most places in that part of the state. Otherwise we had a fantastic time! ##### AJ L. Set up on a hill so you had a gorgeous view of the mountains out the front windows. Its in a very rural farm area. House was clean and comfortable. Anything you needed during your stay was there for use. Mattress was not the best ive ever slept on but it worked for the two nights we stayed there. Netflix to use while there. The location didnt have a lot going on around it as far as places to eat/things to do, so we had to drive a ways to tour around the area but it was a relaxing spot to unwind.
