We came up to serve the families of WNC who were affected by the storm. This property was great in location to access centrally from Asheville to Spruce Pine. It’s a gorgeous place inside and out. We were very surprised by the spacious rooms and porch areas. We had children from 3 to 16 and they enjoyed the bunk beds, backyard area and “secret” loft. We will definitely plan another trip to this home soon! I can only imagine how amazing it will be covered in snow. Only last minute surprise was the very steep driveway and the sign for the back entrance was hard to find. The kitchen needs to be better equipped for large groups-- serve ware (platters, bowls, a salad bowl), and flatware. The waterfall was not as pictured--more of a drainage conduit. This is an awesome property for a large group looking to get away. Very spacious and comfortable. It's a bit of a hike to Asheville but totally doable if your getaway plans don't entirely revolve around city activities.
