From the Gate House, take the second road to the right and follow the road to the parking lot of the Lower Wolf Ridge Ski Lodge. \*\*If you would like to fish, please bring your own gear. Catch-and-release only, please. Directly across the pond, you'll see some trails that go all over the mountain. Help yourself to scenic hiking! Please be aware that accessing this rental may be challenging during snow or ice conditions. Exercise caution and plan accordingly. Our dogs LOVED it - plenty of space to run around and explore, and they slept great each night. Lakeside Cabin is a great location for kids or big groups. The cabin was perfect for us from the ability to step out the door to fish, enjoy hanging out on the top porch overlooking the pond, sitting in the hot tub, having intense ping pong matches in the garage, and having a great time sitting around the fire at night. All of us were comfortable and woke up feeling rested and ready to go the next day. ##### Reed L. The scenery is breathtaking on the drive in as well as at the cabin. The hosts were super accommodating and quick to respond. We loved the authentic feel of the cabin and the amenities on site. This home did not disappoint anybody in our group. The fresh snowfall and the frozen lake made for a perfect Christmas vacation with our family. Close to Asheville and the Biltmore House; Hendersonville and Waynesville were short excursions and very enjoyable. The house was great. It had plenty of room for everyone with room to spare. We loved the fireplace and privacy the home offered. We would defiantly come back again. ##### Robert K. We took our other daughter and her friend, too. There was plenty of room! The bunk room with the attached game room and porch with a hot tub was perfect! We fished, hiked, and cooked s’mores around the fire pit. The cabin is beautiful and so is the property. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The great room furniture and all the beds were incredibly comfortable. The communication with hosts was excellent. The 20 minute drive to downtown Mars Hill was easy and there were great restaurants. We would definitely book this cabin again any time of year!! We didn’t want to leave! ##### Elizabeth W. The owners are very responsive and answer any questions you have. We would suggest 4-wheel drive if you are parking in one of the two bottom spaces. Nice views, very serene. The owner was very communicative and accommodating. Our only real disappointment was that the hot tub never heated properly, so we weren't able to use it. Large groups should also be aware that, aside from a half bath down in the basement/garage, you have to walk through bedrooms to access the toilets on the main floors. ##### Tasha W. It wasn’t really a challenge, but only two showers could be challenging with a larger group (we had 8). The house was perfectly set up for us to do some songwriting and rehearse new music. All my son wanted to do was fish and that was all we did. It was the first time my daughter and I caught a fish! The ponds are fully stocked and we lost count how many we caught. We didn’t really have time to enjoy the hiking trails as it rained most days. Nor did we use the hot tub as it was just too hot outside but it looked clean and inviting! The cabin itself was beautiful and clean. It could use a few upgrades but otherwise it was a nice place to stay. It had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Just bring your groceries. The location is perfect- don’t follow GPS or you’ll pass the cabin. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond. We even received local information prior to our stay.
