We had a lovely stay at Riad Irene, it is well appointed to discover the northern side of the Medina, it’s about a 15 minute walk from the start of the souks, through a maze of twisting back streets, you can also easily navigate within the city walls to reach many fascinating monuments and travel highlights from restaurants to Hammams to local vendors and tours. We really enjoyed our stay.

Riad Irene is amazing !
This riad is fabulous, spotlessly clean and tidy, homely, the communal areas and so lovely with the fountain and the palm trees and the room was comfortable, slept so well. Breakfast was great, pancakes and jams, bread rolls, the freshest orange juice and coffee or tea however you like it. Abdul met us at the entrance to the medina and walked us back as it was dark, we were met with mint tea which was amazing. Zakia cooking is great, we had a 3 course meal with wine in the dining room & she went the extra mile with candles and rose petals on the table. Nothing was too much trouble, they organised a taxi to pick us up and take us back to the airport, gave us a map of how to get to the square etc. we would definitely stay here again, it’s so quiet from the hustle and bustle from outside.

Charming Riad
Superb hosts Pascal and Irene. Helpful local staff at charming Riad. Close to Medina gate and place larouss- gateway to souks. Pay attention to land markers (for me it was a pair of white cats) or you will lose yourself in maze of medina. Beware of local children- they will badger you and offer help, just politely decline. Food and shopping closeby at pl. Larouss but try out stalls outside medina gate for shopping and food if you're adventurous.

Difficult to find but brilliant Riad
Super friendly and exteremly knowlegable owners. My Essaouira suite was fabulous, common areas are splendid , breakfast was very good

The Riad is beautiful. Irene, Pascal and the staff are amazing. Breakfast and dinner at the Riad were great but they also offered suggestions for other nearby dining options. They had a taxi set up for airport transfers and other things I wanted to do.

Excellent Riad for couples, caution single females
The Riad Irene is really beautiful. Better than the photos. The people who work there are really nice and helpful. We only ate breakfast at the riad so cannot comment on their other food. My wife and myself both really enjoyed our stay. However, my wife did comment that she would not have felt safe returning to the Riad alone at night. It is difficult to find but we pinned it on google maps, which helps. In the small dark alleys around the riad, you do get youths hanging around and they were never any bother to us as a couple, but I can understand a solo female feeling nervous. That said, if you are a couple or male I would highly recommend staying here. Easy to walk everywhere which keeps the cost down, and it is very atmospheric and truly Moroccan.

California & London visitors loved Riad Irene.
Thank you Pasqual & Irene for making our first trip to Marrakech a delight. Upstairs room for mother, daughter travelers from USA and London. They arranged airport transport, to and from - good information and assistance to restaurants. Staff at restaurants came to Riad to walk us to restaurant and back in evening. Always cool, restful inside Riad. Cheerful staff, Zakia and Abdu will greet you. Thank you again - from California.

Beautiful Riad
Beautifully managed and decorated Riad. The room was perfect and the breakfast delicious. Meals can be arranged with the couple that manage the property. The location is a bit tricky - definitely make arrangements to be led into the house. Getting out to the attractions is not difficult - just count in 10-15 minutes of walking to get around to places in the Medina

Thank you very much for this kind review. We know that it is difficult to reach the riad which is located in the pedestrian small streets of the medina. Notice to all customers: do not hesitate to take the transfer that we propose: a driver will pick you up at the airport or at the station and will drop you off at the medina gate closest to our riad. From there our staff will accompany you to the riad (2 minutes on foot).

Weekend in Marrakesh
We enjoyed our stay in the riad a lot. The house is absolutely beautiful with its decor, room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and we loved the roof top terrace to stay in the evenings. Zakia prepares a decicious abundent breakfast while Abdou made us the greatest Morrocan mint tea I’ve had during the whole stay. We also booked taxi from the airport through the riad which is worth to do. The little details that you need to consider if you are picky: the riad is not at the very city centre, it is just at the end of the medina and among small rounded streets, this was a good walk for us but not everyone would like. Also, we didn’t get to meet the owners and while really helpful, the stuff is not fluent in English so communication was basic.

Bel endroit avec du charme et du personnel charmant gentil serviable L'emplacement est plutôt a l'écart des souks donc c calme mais il faut marcher pas mal ou prendre un taxi pour avoir du choix en restauration

Best and quiet riad in Marrakech
We had 3 nights in this very beautiful riad. Beautiful interieur all over the riad. Very helpful and friendly hosts. The riad was situated in a quiet and Secure area. Very nice and beautiful rooftopgarden. And a good breakfast. Thet have our best recommendations

Wunderbares, ruhiges Riad für Paare und Familien
Ein wunderbares Riad, in mitten der Medina, trotzdem sehr ruhig. Das Riad ist liebevoll eingerichtet und die Gastgeber Irene und Pascal, sowie das Personal sehr , sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und äusserst sympatisch. Das Riad ist sehr gut zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten gelegen, im nördlichen Teil der Medina. Können es nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Très beau Riad, calme et confortable. Très bien situé, les principaux sites à visiter sont accessibles à pied. Mention spécial pour l'accueil chaleureux de Zakia et Abdou, et le petit déjeuné délicieux et copieux.

Riad très confortable au coeur de la médina avec jus de fruits frais au petit déjeuner et possibilité de dîner. prix raisonnables, excellent service qualitatif et quantitatif. Terrasse chambre et sdb spacieuses Accueil formidable tant par les hôtes que leur personnel Abdu et Zakia jusqu'à Hassan le chauffeur de taxi, conseils de repérages, de visites... Belle rencontre pour échanger sur les modes de vie Riad bien situé si on arrive à se repérer !

Riad très bien placé et très propre dans la Médina
Super super et super..!!! Irène et Pascal sont des gens fantastiques de très bons conseils et très attentionnées !! Séjours de 5 nuits en début de voyage et j'y retourne pour mes 3 dernières nuits au Maroc fin décembre très jolie Riad surtout goûter la cuisine de Zakia..!!!!!! Que du bonheur !! Petit déjeuné très bon !! Et sur la terrasse qu'elle bonheur!! Souvent servie par Abdou qui veille sur vôtre bien être !!! Personnage d'une grande gentillesse..!!!!! Encore merci à Irène et Pascal et à très bientôt !!!!!
