The hotel itself is tired, not renovated for years, specially rooms. Old bed linens with wholes, darned. Dried cockroach in cutlery box. The building and the rooms are basic but are inline with what you pay and more then enough to have a decent stay. The location is great, next to the lovely canals, close to the port and is also far enough away from the noisy tourist areas. The downside for me was the, loud speaker prayers that happen twice during the middle of the night. Unless your planing for all night drinking to early hours of the morning in the many clubs and bars around the harbour and by early hours I mean till 6am then do yourself a favour and don't stay here. We were constantly awaken by the hotel guest going back and forth all through the night banging doors, raised voices in the corridors and to add to the list a school party of teenagers running a mock all night totally unsupervised all with no regard for other guests.
