Saturday/Sunday breakfast waitress needs to work on her customer service skills. They could do with having a breakfast menu printed out as she didn’t list the options available. Breakfast was very good though. The room wasn’t 100% clean and the stairs leading up to the room were very dirty. Friendly welcome. Not a real hotel, just rooms behind a pub. Steep, narrow stairs would present a problem for elderly travelers or anyone with heavy luggage. It wasn't large but was adequate, clean and comfortable with en-suite and a good shower room.. Breakfast was cereals and yoghurt, juice and muffins left in the fridge. Tea and coffee-making facilities were fine. The pub is a good local, convenient for the town and friendly but a bit dominated by the sport on the television.. It's walking distance to Thames - so great! It got a bit noisy during the night once pub- part of the hotel- shut down. Overall good stay.
