Vicki clearly communicated how to check in and was available if we needed anything. We even had covered parking! The location is perfect and it was quiet and private. It's more or less equidistant from the west and south entrances to the park. The kitchen was a little light on items, but we made it work - you're not really cooking a 4-star meal when you're on vacay anyway. Vicki was great in offering some suggestions for what to do and see in the park. Overall a great trip and I'd recommend this place to anyone! ##### Lian C. The place is very nice, beautiful view, love the kitchen, bed was very comfy. We really loved it until we found cockroaches in the restroom. It make it very uncomfortable to sleep or used the restroom as we kept thinking about them. We made sure to keep everything off the floor but had to checked the bags again before we left, just to make sure. I'm sure it's not the owners fault, we can tell they take great pride in trying to keep it clean and care for the guest. We noticed them outside so I'm sure that's were the problem is. Nevertheless, it was lovely with the exemption of the bugs. When we go back to Yosemite again, we may try again but will want to make sure they have been 100% taken care of first. The cottage is at the top of San Francisco type hill, so have a car or be a good walker. It is an hour, by car, from the park. Covered parking. Not far from beer, restaurants and window shopping. It was very clean upon our arrival and the host was very sweet and communicative. The scenic drive to/from Yosemite Valley is roughly 1.5 hours (in January).
