In the morning, enjoy the sunrise over the river while the ships pass. Later, head out your door and explore the many antique shops on Broadway or visit the various Parks, Shops and Restaurants along the river. Have kids? we are situated conveniently between the City Beach and Harbor Park. When the day is done, sit around the fire pit on the water and recap your great day. The space Situated on the St. Clair River is the charming Harbor House; a unique waterfront 30's Era craftsman duplex featuring stonework, expansive covered front porch & hardwood floors thru-out. This floor includes a private master bedroom with a King-size bed and a sunroom separated from the living room by a privacy screen containing a large day bed. There are also 2 twin roll-away beds and a 21" tall, pillow-top self-inflating queen size air mattress. These may be placed in either the sunroom alongside the day bed or in the oversized water facing living room which also contains a sleeper sofa. Aside from the sofa bed, the living room seats an additional 5 persons and has a gas burning fireplace. This is a new B & B so all the linens are new and much of it has been freshly painted or is in the process of being updated. This floor also includes a very large kitchen and eat-in water facing dining area that seats 6 people. Outside, the waterfront has a covered patio with outdoor seating as well as a firepit surrounded by 4 Adirondack chairs. There is a additional free parking to the south and the City Park / Beach is the to the North Other things to note This listing is for Floor 1 of the Harbor House. There is also a 2nd Floor that is used as an owners residence from time to time. Each unit has it's own private entrance and the house has solid walls and floors which allows for privacy and isolation. The parking was immensely convenient, the children enjoyed the proximity to the park and beach, and we all enjoyed watching the freighters pass by! The smart TV allowed us to show a special video we made of friends/family from afar wishing him a happy birthday. The kitchen was well equipped to host a small pot luck style meal and some competitive games at the table. The backyard was spacious and the seating was convenient. The house has amazing airflow with the windows open, and we enjoyed the night breezes off the river. Our walks into town for our breakfasts, a late night dinner, and some extra candy and popcorn treats were just delightful. The intent was to have a relaxing, stress-free vacation and Harbor House did not disappoint. We spent a good time relaxing by the river, reading and watching the freighters and Great Lakes Cruise ships pass by at all hours. We visited the little shops and restaurants within walking distance from the house and drove to other small towns within 1/2 hour to 1 hour distance. Everything within the house was amazing, from the cute decor, to everything we needed in each room. Nothing was lacking, and everything was very clean. It was very roomy and very comfortable. We appreciated the air conditioner in the bedroom at night, the firepit in the back, the front porch with adirondack chairs for cooling down and sipping wine, the Alexa for playing our music and the close proximity to everything. The hosts were very friendly and responsive and we even got to meet Adam the second day we were there. Overall our stay exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay again! ##### Nicole P.
