Staying at a resort is basically the only way to stay right on the beach. This house is located on an intercostal waterway and in a quiet and welcoming neighborhood. The house was nice, although we would probably not stay there again. The hot water does not work in the kitchen at all. The water had been turned off to the dishwasher, not sure why. We turned it on, and that water did get hot. The sink never did. 3 of the six bikes had flat tires. We did let the office know on Wednesday evening and it was fixed on Thursday. There were so many light bulbs out, that we purchased bulbs and replaced them ourselves. We like things very clean. Although it was clean at first glance, once we got settled, we cleaned it again, to be comfortable. Along the baseboards and in the corners of the floors dirt and grime had built up. After the initial cleaning of the pool and the home, we enjoyed our time there. Not sure what is wrong with the hot water in the kitchen, but that would have been nice to have. Reviewer Comments: The 349 Lamplighter location was very convenient. The property was well stocked and had everything we needed. We had a very enjoyable stay with the exception of the cleanliness of the property which left something to be desired. Upon our arrival we found bits of food on the floor in the kitchen, ironically next to the bait traps meant to eradicate roaches (of which we saw many). We were surprised to find roach traps in a "pet friendly" rental property. They presented a hazard to our dog who was drawn to the scent of them. We were fortunate to discover that he was chewing on one before it became a serious situation. The HVAC intake vent was filthy, covered in dirt and dog hair. The blinds were covered in a layer of thick dust.We were very pleased with the house and its amenities. The owner provided many items we have not typicallyfound in rental properties - TP, paper towels, dishwasher soap, etc. The pool was well maintained and provide a good deal of enjoyment. Staying here allowed us to explore the Island and see if this is where we want to spend time every year. The weather was warmer than we expected right up until the day we left and we LOVED it. Screen around the lanai needs some repair but there were no bugs at this time of year. A palm rat came to visit the first night out on the lanai. One call to Harvorview the next day fixed the problem with an exterminator coming immediately.. We called to see if we could expand the tv viewing package to include some sports channels that my husband really like and it was done immediately. Thanks - it made it very enjoyable for my husband to watch all the baseball news and winter meetings and trades. After owning a condo for 24 years, we really enjoyed the house and not riding up and down in the elevator. Perfect location for me would be right on the beach but we soon found out that there isn't such a property available. Just tall condos. Please correct the name display. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: So clean and so well maintained/equipped. We spent most of our time enjoying ourselves by the pool. We did make it to the beach a few days and they supplied all we needed for that fun. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is beautiful and has everything you need for a great stay and more. It was clean and well equipped. The only recommendation I could make would be that the pullout couch is in desperate need of a new mattress. Luckily our little one is 4 and small because none of our other kids could have used it.
