Her personal touch of home made scones and Cornish cream tea was very much appreciated. Breakfast consisted of delicious croissants. There was a complimentary bow of fruit as well. The toiletries smelt wonderful. Just watch your head on the sloped ceiling I highly recommend you stay here. A stones throw from st Michael’s Mount. Actually nowhere is really far away in Cornwall …. Had an excellent 2 night stay in 'the loft' in a lovely quiet location with great views. The Loft is fitted out to a high standard, and there's nothing better after a day of work as sitting on your own balcony with a cuppa and a free cream scone (4 of which are provided on your first night). The provided breakfast is varied, plentiful and more free fresh croissants arrive every day.... although for 1 person, 4 is definitely too many to get through each 24hrs. I look forward to hopefully staying again when back in the area for work later in the year. What a fantastic getaway, we were met upon arrival although the details for getting into the property were emailed, i missed it! When we got in, there was a welcome gift of some lovely scones and clotted cream which was just the cherry on top as the accomodation was beutifull. The sofa and chair in the seating are were so comfortable and we spenf the morning of day 2 just chilling out there with a book due to the rain, the bed was so comfortable i could have stayed in it all day. It was so much better than just a b&b due to having so much space, the included breakfast came in the form of fresh croisants which were delivered in the evening before, Bread, cereal, fruit, orange juice and yoghurt, all of which are in the property and replaced daily if used, to be honest it was more than enough and we found cereal, toast and croisants plenty. It was a short 10 min walk to get to the beach and then a few more minutes to walk across the beach/path to St Michaels mount, we also took the opportunity to walk the coast path to Penzance which was around 45 mins each way. There are plenty places to eat in Marazion, a bakery that does the obligatory cornish pasty and a couple of pubs, one of which (The Fire Engine) we ate in one night, nice pizza & beer and friendly staff. We stayed in the upper room, which had a small fridge and microwave to help if you want to eat the odd meal in the room. Bread, yoghurts, Croissants (plain and apple per person) were delivered each day for breakfast. Lots of tea, coffee etc provided. Good quality food and plenty of it. Short drive to St Michaels Mount, Penzance and Mousehole. 25 minute drive to Lands End. Ideal base for exploring beautiful Cornwall.
