Escape to paradise at The Retreat in Marathon! Our luxurious private resort is the perfect destination for your next family vacation, intimate wedding, corporate retreat, or group getaway. Nestled in a tropical oasis, The Retreat offers stunning water and sunset views that will please everyone.

Our property includes the main house and the Bali Guest House, connected to create one amazing spot. With 2 pools, a private beach, outdoor spa, and Tiki Hut, there are endless opportunities for relaxation and fun. Plus, with over 50 ft of dock space, you can easily bring your own boat to explore the beautiful Middle Keys.

With enough sleeping accommodations for 16 guests, The Retreat is like having your own private resort. And to make your vacation stress-free, we offer a stocked kitchen with enough food and drinks for your first day. All you have to do is chill and relax by the pool!

During your stay at The Retreat, you can venture out for some of the best fishing in the Florida Keys. For amazing diving and snorkeling, head to Sombrero Reef or Looe Key, all easily accessible by boat.

Tucked at the end of a quiet road with a canal view, The Retreat is a peaceful and private escape. With something for everyone, from babies to grandparents, you can spend your days lounging by one of the 2 pools or enjoy games like corn hole on the beach, billiards in the game room, or pool volleyball and basketball. Our property also features a Private Bali Bar, Tiki Hut, 2 outdoor grills, swim-up pool bar, and a private beach.

We greet all guests upon arrival and give a quick tour of the property. The Retreat is located minutes from grocery stores, restaurants, bars, and more. Sombrero Beach is also easily accessible by bike or car.

We are approximately 1 hour from Key West Airport, 2 hours from Miami International Airport, and 2.5 hours from Fort Lauderdale. The Marathon Jet Center is only 5 minutes away.

ABSOLUTE PARADISE!

A group of 13 adults rented The Retreat to celebrate birthdays, retirements and long-time friendships. We had the absolute best time ever! The property is absolutely amazing and Ruth is the best too! We laughed, sang, boated, fished, swam, relaxed and just enjoyed being together. We also had Ruth prepare a fabulous 60th birthday dinner that was out of this world! Once at The Retreat, you never have to leave if you don't want to. It has everything. I can't say enough about this fabulous property other than we will definitely be back!

Extraordinary destination!

13 of us, 3 generations, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beauteous property. Once you arrive, no need to leave. We used the pool morning-to-night, paddle boards + kayaks great for first timers, nonstop fishing, lots of games indoors and out, elevator handy for loading/unloading. Ruth is very accommodating and accessible. Beds are luxurious, beautiful bathrooms, screened eating areas w easy access to kitchens and bars, bikes were nice for quick trip to grocery or over to the beach (lots of that sargassum seaweed this week so we didn’t spend time there). They thought of everything. We’ve done many family trips over the last 13 years, to really nice places, but The Retreat was our favorite!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We had the best time ! Most time spent was out side by pool in spa and on the water with the boats . It was a bit hard to navigate at times getting from the dock to the open waters . The Ideal Get Away

Finding a property large enough to make a family of 12 comfortable is quite a challenge. We were not only comfortable, but pampered at every turn. The staff was amazing! From food to massages to deep sea fishing, not a detail was missed. We were also fortunate to have Chef Ian cooking 5 star meals every night. If you are looking for sun, fun, and relaxation, with a touch of true class, you can not go wrong with The Retreat!

Better than we could have imagined!!

I'm not long for words so please excuse the brief review. From booking over a year ago to check out the entire process was top notch. Booked the retreat for my wife's 50th and 14 of our closest friends and we had an absolute blast! Ruth and her team decorated the house and even picked up flowers and a cake for me prior to our arrival. Had a couple of questions during the stay and Ruth was quick to respond. AS far as the house goes, no need to plan any activities outside of it, you'll have all you want right on site. We spent most of our days hanging out in the pool and using the grill and swim-up bar. If I could give the Retreat 10 stars I would. Thanks again for a memorable vacation. Mike

Marathon Getaway

We celebrated our 42 wedding anniversary with our adult kids their spouses and 6 grandchildren. Everything was perfect and beyond what we could have hoped for. The attention to detail was amazing. Perfect in every way. We were on "island time" all week!

The property and amenities are first class, and Ruth (host) was an amazing resource. We gathered as a family (10 adults, 6 kids) to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday, and there was something for everyone -- from cousin movies in the spa; to hoops in the pool; to Peloton workouts; to paddle board rides; to ping-pong tournaments; to laughter-filled dinners on the terrace. The Fresh Start was super helpful and allowed us to step into "vacation mode" as soon as we arrived, rather than worry about an immediate grocery run. Ruth also set up an inshore fishing trip for us, which resulted in some delicious Spanish Mackerel fish tacos! The unanimous theme of our trip was that everyone felt completely relaxed at the Retreat. Highly recommend for your next family gathering!

An Experience to Remember

This property is everything as advertised. We brought eight of our close friends with us for a very relaxing eight days. There are so many things to at the home, we rarely wanted to go elsewhere. We had collectively 10 people and never felt like we were really ever in the same zip code (the place is huge). Plus, Ruth did an outstanding job of making sure our every need was met, and was very responsive. She is also an amazing chef! Overall, we were very pleased and will come again in the future for another vacation, or possibly a board meeting.

Fun for All Ages!

Having never visited Marathon, we were pleasantly surprised to have discovered this gem of a vacation property. Plenty of room and places for three generations of kids and adults to reconnect and to create lasting memories. The outdoor pool, Tiki Bar and Bali Bar were huge hits!! The optional boat rental was great too. Last but not least were the delicious dinners Ruth and her colleagues prepared for our family on three separate nights. It was really nice to have the pantry and bar stocked and for dinner to be prepared for us the first night of our stay.

Amazing Property for Large Families or Groups

With the restrictions of Covid this property was wonderful for our large group of 16. We generally travel to a resort in in the Caribbean during this time however given our restrictions we wanted warm and in the United States. This property far exceeded our expectations. Expansive with plenty of room, amazing pool and bar area, and amenities. The most wonderful part of this retreat is the service that you receive from the property manager. The retreat is fully stocked which makes travel so much less stressful. It has food, drink and anything you can think of that you might need. The local pharmacy and grocery store are very close as well (2minutes away). We rented the boat that was offered by the property and it accommodated our large group of 16. It was so nice to show up and then leave with no worries. It you are traveling with family or friends and want an escape from the world this is the place. Great Florida weather and all the amenities you would need. We also had the property manager arrange a chef for one of our nights. Amazing dinner with no clean up. This resort is definitely a RETREAT!

Best Family vacation ever.

We spend one week with our entire family of 12 at Marathon. The house is exactly as advertised and yes as the video says once you are there you won't want to leave. Ruth was fantastic and the best chef ever! I personally gained 5 pounds while under Ruth's culinary care. Make sure you do at least one meal prepared by Ruth to complete a perfect stay. We played more games and had more fun than we ever would have had at a resort. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone, it is amazing!

Sweet Retreat 2019

The Retreat was the perfect property for our family of 19. We spent most of our time in the pool, playing games and enjoying the Bali bar. Ruth was an incredible host and took care of our every need.
