Located on the upscale Duck Key in a quiet neighborhood known as the Village in Hawks Cay, this waterfront townhouse offers the ideal restful retreat. Take in breathtaking views of the Duck Key Marina, Toms Harbor, and the Seven Mile Bridge in the distance! Spend leisurely afternoons fishing from the shoreline, right outside your door. You'll also be able to easily access nearby fishing charters, watercraft rentals, diving and snorkeling trips, sunset cruises, Dolphin Connection, and excellent restaurants on this 568-acre island. After a day spent on the water, you can unwind in the open living area with a sofa bed and a flatscreen TV. Whip up tasty dishes in the well-equipped kitchen, outfitted with a full suite of stainless steel appliances and ample counter space. There is a quaint dining area, while the covered back deck makes a wonderful space for alfresco meals with a water view. The outdoor table provides additional seating. The first bedroom has a flatscreen TV and a balcony with incredible water views, the second bedroom has a flatscreen TV, and the full bathroom has a tub/shower combination. A half-bath provides added convenience. Free WiFi and an in-home washer/dryer are provided as well. Close to this great location, you can learn about the marine ecosystem and swim with dolphins at the Dolphin Research Center, go kayaking around Curry Hammock State Park, and enjoy fine and casual seafood dining on the island. Things to Know This unit has 1 1/2 bathrooms, not two full bathrooms. This two-story townhome is accessed via five steps at the entryway. This is an individually owned villa and is not associated with Hawks Cay Resort. Your reservation is through Vacasa and not through Hawks Cay Resort, therefore, you do not have access to some amenities offered by Hawks Cay Resort (including all resort pools). It is your responsibility as a Vacasa guest to determine what if any Hawks Cay Resort amenities are available to you. A daily resort fee for access to Hawks Cay Resort amenities is not offered by Hawks Cay Resort. As a guest of this vacation rental, you can enjoy access to Angler & Ale, Sixty-One Prime, Dolphin Connection (with pre-purchased tickets/must purchase prior to being inside the resort), Calm Waters Spa, Duck Key Marina, and fishing charters at the Marina). It was very centrally located, just a few minutes drive to the larger island and also not far from key west and other sights. The best part is the view, amazing from both floors! It was overall clean but there are some damages inside that need some renovation/repair. The kitchen had equipment but no basic condiments like salt/pepper/oil/etc. there was a coffee maker but no coffee provided. We have been staying at various vacation rentals for many years and this is the first time the kitchen “pantry” was empty. ##### Y L. The location is ideal—right in the middle of the Florida Keys—making it easy to explore both Key Largo and Key West. The home itself is airy and inviting, with plenty of natural light and space to relax.One of the best features is the two balconies. The view from the master bedroom balcony is absolutely breathtaking—there’s nothing like watching the sun set over the intercoastal waterway. It’s the perfect spot to unwind after a day of adventure.There were a couple of minor hiccups: the ice maker isn’t working, but grabbing a bag of ice from the store solved that easily. Also, the dishwasher had a small leak, so we ended up hand-washing dishes—something to be aware of, but definitely not a dealbreaker.Just a heads-up for beachgoers: during our stay, there was a buildup of sargassum (sea grass) on the Atlantic-side beaches. It can have a strong, unpleasant odor, especially on hot days. I reached out to management right away and while they were responsive and apologetic, nothing was done about this till the last afternoon before we left. REALLY disappointing we had to buy our own supplies when you spend over $1000 on a stay. On top of that this unit is a 1.5 bath NOT a 2.5\. Really sad to find that all 5 of us had to share 1 shower for 3 days... Im sure the add is an oversight but needs to get changed. \*So far NOTHING has been done to make up for the oversights by management\* ##### Michael N.
