We had the upper floor end unit, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths. Although the condo's furniture and the bath in the master bedroom were very outdated, and worn out, we still enjoyed our stay. The beach was cleaned of sargassum every morning making swimming in the ocean and playing on the beach easily accessible, and the pool was heavenly. Dec 20, 2021 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Birds of paradise condo This was our first time staying in the keys for a week and we were not sure where to stay. We chose this complex because it was not in a busy area and had a public beach next to it that we were able to take walks on. There was just two of us and we did not need the three bedroom condo but chose it due to it being an end unit that has two balconies with one being about 50’ from the ocean. The condo was a little dated and the master bath defiantly showed it’s age. The kitchen appears to have been recently remodeled and looks nice. Overall, the condo was clean, well stocked and we did not have any issues. The complex grounds were well kept and clean . The pool was larger than most and heated. We did have a small issue with one of the dryers but the on-site management resolved the issue quickly. We would definitely stay here again. ##### Dennis P. Ocean front with pool right outside the door. The condo was nice, dated. Many vertical blinds missing from the living room and master bedroom. Location is great in the middle of the Keys, not far to the grocery and places to eat. The only major issue is with the condo was the A/C. At first the condo would only get to 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Contacted Mary and she suggested tips. Didn't help. Talked to her on multiple occasions. She finally sent someone out on Wednesday and they got it fixed on Thursday. Wednesday night was miserable 83 degrees all night. Check out time is.very early 9am. Only 2 towels per bedroom, not enough with no washer and dryer in condo. The only difficulties we had was the skillets were not great and made it unpleasant to cook as we did breakfast every other day. And even though the hand book earns you about no see ums you can’t really prepare for them. I’m covered in bites and will have scars from them. ##### Kathy T. Sep 3, 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication #### basic Keys condo on weedy beach Bird of Paradise was clean and comfortable, but pretty basic in its amenities. The wifi was extremely weak, and really only worked on the pool-facing balcony. We found this made it difficult to do even basic web-based activities, like searching for information on local attractions, and impossible to do things like stream movies. The unit is oceanfront, however, the beach and water in this area have a lot of seagrass, which smells quite strongly, and we saw no one using the beach or in the water. It's part of the natural ecology, and present on all the beaches in the area, but it does significantly compromise the enjoyability. There is a very nice pool in the complex, however, and we spent many afternoons there. The kitchen is well equipped, with plenty of dishes, and enough cookware to make dinner and other meals. Bath towels and hand soap were provided, but extras, like shampoo/conditioner and beach towels are not. There was also an odd lack of towel hooks or other places to hang wet towels, swimsuits, etc. There are laundry machines on site, but they are coin operated, and we did not use them. ##### Bethany H.
