The bungalow was very comfortable and we had everything we needed for our long weekend Anniversary getaway. The beach was a little over a block away and you can walk for miles! The 9 hole golf course was walkable just up the road and you can hear rhe ocean the entire time you are golfing. It was awesome! You can walk to town being just a mile and a half away. Everyone was super nice and accommodating and we found some excellent restaurants, especially for breakfast 😋. The owners were super helpful for recommendations as well and very nice! We felt that the bungalow was very private even though the owners live upstairs. You can not hear a thing between the floors, which was great too! We will definitely look forward to staying at this location again!! Thank you for a very memorable visit to Manzanita ❤️. I didnt realize from the listing that the owners lived above the unit. I was under the impression it was two separate rental units. I generally prefer rentals where I have the entire unit because I dont like the feeling that I'm being watched or monitored. However, this is the first time I've stayed in a unit connected to the owners where I didn't feel that way at all. I was so thankful they gave us our space, and even though we caught a glimps of them returning from a bike ride it wasnt intrusive. The location was great, just a short walk from the beach and really close to town. I really enjoyed chasing the waves under the moonlight when we had the beach entirely to ourselves. And stargazing and watching for meteors from the sand dunes was amazing. This is literally the very first rental that was connected to someone else's home or on their property while present that we would ever consider renting from again. The hosts really designed the space well and made it feel as private as possible. Full-sized and well-equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom, nice shower. Great lighting options, comfortable furniture. Nancy was very accommodating with our early arrival. Her instructions for checkin and house are very helpful. I would highly recommend this place for couples looking for a quiet getaway close to beach, small towns, rivers, and hikes. So much to see and do - rent a car - Short sand Beach is a gem for surfers.
