"We wanted to visit Starved Rock State Park but couldn't find anywhere to stay really close by. So we decided to expand our search and we're so glad we did! The Tiskilwa Inn was such a treat (and still only 40 minutes from the park). The house was built in 1848 and you can still see some of that history, but bathrooms, kitchen, etc. have been completely updated recently so you get the best of both worlds. "A bit unsure of the location of our tent as there was no one in the cabin at the property. The lady mowing the grass gave us the directions. As the grass was freshly cut it was impossible not to track it into the tent. The amenities in the tent were well thought out and we loved the colors. Enjoyed the outdoors, birds and rain storm that passed through. "
