Safe and secure is what my wife and I felt when we stayed at the Gervasia Hotel during the covid pandemic. We had stayed at the Gervasia before and even with the restraints of covid, the excellent service came through. This was in December 30,2019\. I later found out that there was no number on Expedia for me to contact the hotel. I contacted Expedia through Online Chat using the WiFi of a nearby McDonald's. Even the agent couldn't find any means to get a hold of them. I waited for half an hour for Expedia to sort this out. Still they couldn't since it was peak season, New Year's. So I asked for a refund and I had to drag my bags on the sands of Alona beach looking for vacancies which I found. I was in touch with Expedia the whole time and finally they said they can't refund. Not even coupons to for next bookings (I have been using Expedia for over 5 years.) Lealyn from Expedia just gave me the phone number which the hotel finally put on the Expedia listing and they simply asked me to call. Ending her email with "Thank you for choosing Expedia." I made the booking through Expedia and it was their fault they listed hotels with no phone numbers or exact locations. I called the hotel but they said they don't know of Expedia and that they are mostly an AirB&B. Worst service ever.
