Purtroppo la camera a noi assegnata era al primo piano, non molto distante dall'enorme gruppo elettrogeno dell'hotel che azionandosi ogni qual volta veniva a mancare l'energia elettrica( è successo di frequente, anche di notte), produceva un fastidioso rumore. La nostra stanza era comunque pulita e il letto abbastanza comodo, ma la visuale dalle finestre non è stata un granchè. Lähistöltä löytyy hyviä ruokapaikkoja ja keskeisimmille nähtävyyksille ei ole kovin pitkä matka. Mandalayssa nähtävyydet ovat jonkin verran hajallaan, joten jonkinlaistan kulkuneuvoa tarvitsee joka tapauksessa. Kukaan ei näkynyt kävelevän tässä kaupungissa. Hotellin siisteydessä ja palvelussa emme havainneet mitään moitittavaa. Huone oli hyvän kokoinen ja toimiva. Huone oli myös rauhallinen. Aamiaistarjonta oli kohtalaisen suppea ja tyypillisen aasialainen. Syötävää kuitenkin löytyi. Myös aamiaisella palvelu oli todella ystävällistä. Vierailumme aikana paikallinen uusivuosi aiheutti pieniä haasteita, kun monet paikat olivat kiinni. Hotellin kautta onnistuimme kuitenkin järjestämään kaikki tarvitsemamme kuljetukset kätevästi.
