M. and Mme Mazieres are a delight, very welcoming hosts. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the garden, watching/listening to the many birds and insects, with the beautiful mountains in close view. Le balcon avec terrasse et le jardin avec ses chaises longues invitent sans cesse à l'observation des parcelles, des burons, des troupeaux, des rapaces, des sommets, des chemins. Très joli gîte dans une maisonnette cantalienne (barriade). Tout y est prévu. Il faut apprécier les styles authentiques, toute la décoration rappelle l'histoire de la région. Jacqueline est très réactive en cas de question ou de petits problèmes à résoudre, et est très soucieuse du bien-être des occupants. Nous recommandons le restaurant des 3 Genêts ainsi que sa boulangerie/patisserie et son épicerie (à Mandaille). Extrêmement pratique et très qualitatif. La Maison de Site de Mandailles propose des activités gratuites : nous avons bénéficié d'une randonnée géologique du massif des volcans avec une vulcanologue chevronnée et passionnante (Evelyne Pradal elle-même). Il y a par ailleurs des randonnées de toutes tailles et difficultés dès le portail du gîte. Mais L'insert nous a tenu bien au chaud. Notre chien a particulièrement apprécié le jardin bien clos à double-niveau, un petit sur le devant et un plus grand en contre-bas de la maison, nous aussi une fois le soleil revenu ainsi que la terrasse. Maison confortable, très au calme, mais c'est peut-être la vue imprenable qui nous restera en mémoire (... avec la visite de la chauve-souris). Le Felgeadou Maison de charme, accueillante, propre, tranquille et idéale pour les chiens. Très bon accueil et la proprietaire nous indique les sites à visiter. Tout était parfait : une ravissante maison très très bien équipée et documentée, avec un magnifique jardin, située au milieu des montagnes ! Parfait pour les amoureux de la nature ! Grand beau temps les premiers jours permettant randonnées et pinic midi dans la nature. Gite maison ancienne avec tout confort et vue sur le puy Griou splendide avec fabuleux coucher de soleil. Le gite est tout confort avec le charme de l'ancien (bien sur la salle de bain est petite mais c'est le jeu !). Il est décoré avec goût. Nous avons adoré manger sur la petite terrasse en profitant de la belle vue. Le jardin est très agréable et entièrement clôturé. Nous avons apprécié l'accueil fait à notre chienne (gamelles, dodo et même une petite friandise !!), c'est rare et cela mérite d'être souligné ! Nous avons eu un excellent contact avec Jacqueline qui se met en 4 pour rendre notre séjour agréable. Nous recommandons ce gite ! ##### brigitte n.
