The Mercure of Saint Lo is in a great location. It is easy to walk the city. The staff is friendly and proactive. The room was clean.

Good be location and good hotel. Only criticism would be service. The breakfast area was not prepared when we went down late for a breakfast as a coach party had just left. We had to sort our own table and somethings had to be requested. They appeared to be short staffed!!

I had business in St-Lo and the surrounding area. Hotel Mercure was perfect for that reason. It was easy, clean, quiet and had a bar for a quick drink.

Great stay except I woke up every night sweating like crazy. Room was cool. Not sure if it was the mattress or pillows or duvet. The night before in Belgium and afterwards at an HIE in Paris (airport) and no sweating.

Nice hotel, free mini bar full of alchahol free drinks, topped up daily. Coffee machine also in room, bed was very comfy, was a bit annoying that the toilet was desperate to the shower room/sink and no air con but apart from that very nice clean room. Free parking and average WiFi. Really easy walk to local restaurants across the bridge too.

Enjoyed every bit of my stay in Mercure St Lo. Closeness to the Gare St Lo as well as the Notre Dame church and the Saturday market was awesome. Nice and lovely staff, good menu and excellent hotel rooms.

This hotel offered a very small room without air conditioning. When we arrived, it was 90 degrees in our room due to a west exposure and a large window left uncovered. The toilet is not separated from the rest of the bathroom. Very noisy location. No place for suitcases etc...

Good Location for D-Day Normandy travel
This was a good choice. Clean, easy to get to and get from. It has a great view of the medieval walls of St. Lo and decent resturants and shops with easy walking distance. However its location is a little less desireable if you are looking for the full St. Lo French town experience as to get to the main part of town is a long uphill climb. But if you looking to visit the western part of Normandy, Mont St Micheal, the American Beaches and airborne landing places this a great place to do it from. Also, the parking was free, the wifi was free. And the Tourism office is also a short walk away. Always a helpful thing.

The room,location & parking were all good. However, the receptionist was very offhand & disinterested at our check in. We frequented the bar then the restaurant where we were 2 of only 3 people all night (Sat) & had dreadful service . The chef also did not want to wait for us to have desert, so it was cancelled. At least the receptionist in the morning was pleasant & smiled.

The check in was quick and painless. Opening the room door took a little longer to get the knack, but once mastered it was fine. The room was quite big by European standards, and the bed was the best I had slept in for the past 4 weeks. The breakfast was adequate but just. Parking was interesting to say the least, but we always found a spot. Overall a good hotel in an interesting part of town.

This hotel is very well situated and is clean and well maintained. The station is next door but does not disturb you at all. I would recommend the hotel but the one thing that let it down was the restuarant. We felt rushed as soon as we entered. We had barely sat down and were rushed for an order, the quality of the food wasn't brilliant and the member of staff who served us wasn't a credit to the hotel!!. We never went there again not even for breakfast. There are many restuarants nearby of a much better standard

Not beautiful, but clean, comfortable with a view
Nice hotel on the river, really good for seeing the town. it's not a great beauty of a hotel, but the rooms are well decorated, comfy and very clean with great showers. Only one English speaking channel on the TV tho and no fridges in the rooms, but a nice big breakfast in the morning - tho mostly continental.

Comfortable hotel in St. Lo
This hotel is comfortable and very nicely located in central Saint Lo. We found it a great location from which to take day trips to Mont St. Michael, the DDay beaches, Bayeux, etc.

The Hotel was quite good and conveniently located for the centre of St.Lo. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the cost of the breakfast (petit dejeuner) was far too much and of doubtful quality.I would advise anyone to breakfast out.

Hotel vieillissant mais confortable. Les menuiseries sont vétuste et donc laisse passer le vent (Bruit). Le gros points négatifs est le bar en dessous de l'hotel. Les gens en terrasse font un bruit infernale jusqu'à plus d'1h de matin ce qui est parfaitement insupportable... Si vous réservez, il est impératif de demander une chambre très très éloignée de ce bar.
