Beautiful hotel and amazing staff combined
Fantastic hotel in an ideal location at the heart of Granada. Tim and Andreas were the perfect hosts throughout our stay, and I would not hesitate to re-book if we ever return to the area. Each morning we were greeted with a big breakfast, and Tim or one of the hotel staff would be full of recommendations and tips to help ensure we got the most out of whatever we were doing that day. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were looked after (helping to arrange taxis, transfers, laundry, and even dinner one night during our stay), and the hotel itself is a great base (complete with swimming pool and sunny roof terrace) to explore the area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

A wonderful gem
This lovely boutique hotel is tucked down a quiet side street but only a 5 mins walk from the tourist centre of Granada. The hosts, Tim and Andreas are charming and Arnold on the front desk is wonderful for all your arrangements from local drivers, tours and carriage rides to restaurant recommendations. Breakfast changes daily and is served by some wonderfully giggly girls that make you smile. We had a great stay and could not recommend it more highly

Nice boutique hotel with character and ambiance
The hosts are amazing as were the staff. We were very happy with the location on a quiete cul-de-sac yet just a few blocks from the center of everything. Excellent breakfast served with a smile. Highly recommended.

La Islita was a gem of a hotel tucked away at the end of a street. Beautiful lobby and common areas that were delightful to spend time in. Fantastically helpful staff. I had a wonderful stay!

Friendly, comfortable place to stay in Granada
La Isleta is in a great location, just off of Calle La Calzada and close to the central park, but not noisy at night. Tim and Andreas are very friendly and helpful and there's a delicious breakfast every morning by the garden. It's easy walking distance from the historic district with lots of very good restaurants nearby. If you want to take a horse and buggy ride around town or one of the many tours that go to lake Nicaragua or Masaya or Leon, etc, you only have to walk a couple of blocks. American dollars are accepted most everywhere. And there's a very nice rooftop hangout where you can relax with a cool breeze in the afternoon. There's free wifi too.

What a gem!
Staff and owners welcomed us as if we were newly found family. Everyone was very attentive and kind, even the family dog (and what a cutie). We had a king bed and a private balcony and I loved having Netflix on the bedroom TV. Breakfast was eggs, fruit, juice and bread, all done differently each morning and very good. The hotel is at the end of a small street taking it out of the main tourist area by only a few blocks. If you like being comfortable, relaxed and happy then stay here.

Lovely quiet comfortable hotel near downtown
Located on a quiet dead-end street neat downtown and operated by attentive, pleasant staff, this was a great place to enjoy Granada. The rooms were airy and beds and bathrooms were comfortable.

Felt like coming home
I wish I could keep this beautiful place a secret, but I wouldn't do the owners and superb staff any favours. It's beautiful, it's location fantastic, it's comfortable and it has a pool! Literally everybody working in the hotel welcomes you as if in their own home. You're treated with so much respect and friendliness here, this place brings a smile to your face. I would come back here any day of the year. I can't think if any negatives here, really... so so wonderful!

Best of everything, look no further
Excellent location, looked after by Tim, Andres & Arnold and served a wonderful breakfast every morning by the two happiest women in Granada. I loved the whimsical decor of the hotel and view from the rooftop deck was fabulous.

Wonderful hotel in Granada!
You can’t do better than this lovely hotel! Located at the end of the street, it’s a peaceful retreat at the end of a day in busy, noisy, colorful Granada. Located just s few blocks from the central square and main pedestrian street. The owners are friendly, warm, inviting, and super helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable, and everything in working order. Have a refreshing dip in the pool and enjoy the delicious breakfasts!

Ok for the price. The staff tried you to feel comfortable. A/C ok only a little bit noise but I believe that all hotels have the same problem. Only the breakfast was not enough.... besides that everything was ok

The hotel was very outdated, especially the rooms and the bathrooms. It was a little disgusting to go to the bathrooms or take showers because it was so run down. When we got there, we noticed the toilet was leaking and it got all over our socks, so we had to switch rooms. And on the last day we were there, the owners were not there to check us out or apologize because there was a mouse in our room and we couldn't sleep! The advice they would give us was not always a good one. The Laguna de Apoyo for instance, they said we could go swimming in it, and we were told it is dangerous to swim there, and there were no parrots there like the hotel told us. The one good thing about the hotel was the breakfast and the good service from the breakfast lady. The neighborhood was overcrowded and not the greatest. They stoled the wipers from our rental car in front of the hotel. We were told there is someone watching it for the hotel, but we have to tip him and he sure wasn't watching it. We had to drive this way under the rain. Very disappointing. P.S. There are hungry dogs on the street. If you can, please give them left overs.

Perfect Location and Wonderful Owners
My friend and I loved our stay. The hotel was in a perfect location - Just off the main street so everything was easy to get to but the hotel was quiet and relaxing. The owners and staff were all extremely interesting, nice, and helpful. They all gave great tips and helped make arrangements, like a driver, when needed. The breakfast was also delicious!

We loved the stay here. The room was basic but good value for what we were paying. The owners were very friendly and helpful with tours and other travel plans. The breakfast was good. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Grenada.

My mom, sister and I had a wonderful two night stay at La Islita! The staff and the owners were simply wonderful. Our room was spacious and very clean. The location was just outside of the central square which was extremely close to walk, but far enough to avoid the nightly noises of the parties in the square. Although it wasn't needed, they even provided ear plugs and a noise machine to ensure no noise was heard. HIGHLY recommend!

Delightful find in Granada.
La Isleta is a wonderful place to stay in Granada. It is just a few blocks from the main avenue, but far enough away to be out of the noise and traffic. The staff was exceptional, Arnold at the front desk can arrange any excursion for a great price. The taxi's he called for us were clean, air conditioned and with friendly drivers, and he gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great staff, breakfast, service, knowledge of all local activities. Very colonial small B & B. A little water pressure problem, shower only. That was easily solved. More like a home. Safe, secure with nearby restaurants and attractions.

The owners and their employee working the day we checked out all were so incredibly nice! One of the owners overheard me telling my daughter that they didn't have pancakes for breakfast and immediately got up from his desk and came to our table and offered to make them for her! I hate to say anything not great, but our roomed smelled bad! Maybe the people before were smoking in it I don't know. Once the AC kicked in it seemed to dissipate. Hot water and A/C, they have both which is rare in Nicaragua and especially at the great prices they were offering during our stay. In addition, a great Breakfast and super coffee, natural fruit juices made in house! So many great things about this place. Plus it is just a two block walk to the center of the Granada walk with all the restaurants and shops! Oh yeah, another important little nuance that is so often overlooked in hotels in Nicaragua, the beds and pillows were comfortable and of good quality! The pool is very refreshing, perfect for us, not too big nor too deep. And it is a super quiet location yet two blocks from all the craziness of Granada night life!

Luxurious base to explore Granada
Just two blocks from the main plaza, but totally quiet, this hotel is an oasis to act as your jump off point for exploring. Comfy beds, great AC, and there's a white noise machine (nice unexpected touch). Heavenly pool! The guys also arranged our pickup from the airport, as well as our taxi and ferry to Ometepe. I would recommend this to anyone!

We stayed the night before returning home via Managua Airport. The room was very clean and the staff very friendly. We had a great recommendation for dinner and really enjoyed our stay. We could hear a bit of noise from adjoining rooms but everything was quiet before 10pm.

Quiet and intimate hotel.
The hotel was more than we expected. The staff was superb and very attentive and knowledgable. Breakfast and coffee every morning. Not the usual buffet style. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was great since its in a dead end street. That makes it a quieter location. Very satisfied!

Decent hotel in Granada
The hotel grounds were beautiful and I enjoyed staying in the clean rooms. They even had a white noise machine, which helped one of my friends sleep better. At night, it did seem a little sketchy with the cat calling close to the hotel.

Fantastic service. Great breakfast. Reception arranged our tours and and transfers (including directly from the Managua Airport) at reasonable prices. They went out of their way to welcome us each and every day. The hotel is at the end of a cul-de-sac near the pedestrian street.

THE HOTEL IS GORGEOUS AND THE ATTENTION IS EXCELLENT. AN ASSET OF THE HOTEL ARE THE MANAGERS THAT ARE WILLING TO HELP TO MAKE YOUR EXPERIENCE IN NICARAGUA AS MEMORABLE AS POSSIBLE. NICARAGUA IS A GORGEOUS COUNTRY, IN MY OPINION BETTER THAN COSTA RICCO FOR ECOTURISM.

A secluded charmer in Granada.
My husband and I had a great stay! The owners and the hotel staff were extremely helpful with suggestions for sites as well as dinner choices. The hotel was located on a lazy street but was in quick walking distance to the central park as well as the market. In addition, the pool and inside courtyard were nice places to cool off after a long walk in the city. In addition, the breakfasts were muy bueno! I highly recommend La Islita for couples and families.

A lovely place.
My husband and I and our two kids age 7 and 10 really enjoyed our two nights there. Away from the hubub of the main square but a super close walk, it is set on an actual residential street where you are a part of everyday life. My son played street soccer with some neighbors and their deflated ball. The kids loved hanging out on the roof deck, and we all appreciated the small pool to cool off in.The staff were super sweet and helped us set up our excursions as we lingered over coffee in their courtyard garden.

The hotel was in an ideal location in Granada, just 2 1/2 blocks from the Cathedral. The hotel was clean and the service was pretty good too. Their breakfast was up to par, with different choices every morning. It has a very courteous staff and it definitely has that "home" feeling. What I liked the most was the quietness within the premises and we were able to get some good rest after a entire day of sightseeing.
