There are 12 rooms with 50 percent occupancy on average. We're not sure how many people possibly would be appropriate to operate. Let's be blunt-- We'd be happy hire more people, but realize that our room rate were 25% higher five years ago. The present prices are due to market conditions including COVID, politics, the economy, and the fact that people don't want to pay for services. On the other hand, supplies and wages have gone up 30%. Hiring more people probably isn't sustainable at this juncture.

The problem we have is that the complaint is usually the opposite-- the clients complain that the maids disturb them. The hotel is tiny, all you need to do is let the front desk staff know your preference when you check in-- alternatively, you just peek your head out the door at anytime between 9 and 4 and the maid most likely will be visible.

Thank you for your review of Art Hotel Managua. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and found the employees to be friendly and helpful. As to our manager that did not greet you, we do not have a manager on duty at Art Hotel. We believe that the person you thought was a manager was actually a consultant that is assisting with some engineering and construction development issues. For this reason, it is unlikely he would interact with guests unless he noticed a problem that he needed to advise the investors about.
