Then once I arrived, the staff were friendly and even helped me to order food since I arrived late. The room is big with classic furniture. They have air-conditioning and hot water. The staff are very friendly. My only comment is the room is dark. It feels like a boutique hotel in many ways as the owner has an abundance of wonderful paintings and sculptures on the walls and communal areas, even in the bedrooms. The breakfast/reception area is like a gallery with beautiful carved furniture in an old colonial building (also has an modernish extension). Breakfast made to order has only a few choices but was delicious with plentiful coffee. Staff are delightful, chatty and so helpful. They organised a volcano trip within mins when my pre paid and booked Viator trip was cancelled on the day. The hotel guide was also also much cheaper and great fun and helpful. Wifi was good but you may need to change connection if you move from eg reception to your room. Air con good, location very quiet and safe and a 25 mins walk to the lake passing by most attractions. Reception even arranged for a pre packed breakfast for my 5am departure. Loved this place and would definitely stay again. Stayed there 6 nights and had room cleaning service everyday. Excellent air conditioning, had working hot water everyday I was there and the WiFi worked well. Loved having the free breakfast offered with daily varying juice options.
