This beautiful studio has been upgraded for your style and comfort with all new restored wood furniture, rustic flooring, new bedding, new couch/queen sleeper that is the most comfortable one on the market as it doesn't have bars or springs, new chairs, new flat screen TV, and my own original artwork. Let this be your home while you explore all the beauty and adventure that the Eastern Sierra is famous for. At the Monache, the newest and most beautiful hotel in Mammoth, you are steps away from the Village and mountain gondola. The Village is the hub of action in Mammoth; concerts, festivals, movies under the stars, shopping, restaurants, gondola to the slopes, ski and bike rentals, as well as free shuttles whisking you to virtually anywhere you want to go—it’s all steps away. After a day of fun come home and relax in front of the gas fireplace or soak in one of two outdoor hot tubs nestled next to the saline swimming pool set among the trees, there’s also a BBQ area as well as a workout center. Hungry? You're a elevator ride away from the 'Whitebark' an elegant restaurant within the Monache's lobby. While waiting to be seated relax on one of the lobby's couchs next to an amazing replica of 'Devils Postpile'. The Monache is one beautiful hotel. In the summer the mountain bike tram picks up in front of the gondola station or you can catch the free Red Trolley that'll take you around Mammoth, even up to the lakes basin--they'll take your dog and bikes too. So come, enjoy it all, and leave your car parked in the underground parking structure. Lastly, I allow dogs. As a big animal, and dog lover I appreciate when guests include their dog in their vacations, I bring my Cheyenne everywhere as well. That said I rely on guests to bring well behaved, non-destructive and potty trained dogs. Once a dog soils in the unit other dogs are much more likely to do so as well. Therefore, if a dog does go to the bathroom in the unit I will charge a minimum of $50.00\. Guests are fully responsible for their dogs--please see to it that they don't soil or damage the unit. They can't bark either. If hair requires extra cleaning I will also need to charge more accordingly. Unfortunately, the day before our arrival, a wildfire blocked the main road into Mammoth. Given the circumstances, we reached out to the host the night before to inquire about the possibility of rescheduling.Despite multiple attempts, we were unable to reach him for several hours, extending into the next day. When we finally did make contact, the host was immediately confrontational—raising his voice and speaking in an unprofessional manner. Rather than showing understanding given the emergency situation, he dismissed our concerns, laughed at our request, and abruptly ended the call.Unfortunately, VRBO was equally unhelpful in resolving the issue. Despite the unforeseen and dangerous conditions, they offered little support or flexibility, which only added to our frustration.We were deeply disappointed by both the host’s behavior and VRBO’s lack of assistance. Based on this experience, we would not recommend this host or booking through VRBO. ##### Ashley D. I was very happy to have a pet friendly condo and the check in process is very smooth. When I called about struggles with the WIFI the owner was very curt and rude. Everything was perfect as usual. Checkin is super fast and easy. You can’t beat the location and the place is clean tidy and has everything that you would need.
