The holiday home has a relaxation area with an infrared sauna and a bubble bath to unwind during the stay. You can go walking in the woods at 1 km. At 2 km, you will find the lively town center with supermarkets, restaurants, and nightlife pubs. There is a public swimming pool at 4 km for taking a cool dip. You can head to the lake at 10 km for a picnic. For exploration, the towns of Liege, Spa, Malmedy, and Stavelot are easily reachable. Laat ik beginnen met het positieve gedeelte: het is een hele mooie villa voorzien van alle gemakken! We waren met 4 stelletjes een weekendje weg naar Malmedy en Villa Rendez-vous had (bijna) alles wat we nodig hadden: 4 ruime slaapkamers, een fijne living, grote eettafel, leuke zitjes in de tuin en een hele relaxte jacuzzi! Het enige minpuntjes was de hoeveelheid sanitair: slechts 2 badkamers en ook maar 2 wc’s die beiden niet op dezelfde verdieping als het woon gedeelte zijn gesitueerd. Malmedy is een leuk dorpje in de Ardennen waar je genoeg activiteiten kunt doen. TIP: maak een wandeling langs de berg rivier van Beverce! TIP2: stop tijdens deze wandeling bij camping Du Moulin voor een heerlijke lunch en uitgebreide bier kaart! Nu de reden waarom ik deze villa niet kan aanraden: de eigenaar! Wat een ontzettende zak hooi is dat. Bij aankomst leek alles nog prima in orde. Hij gaf een uitgebreide rondleiding en legt alles netjes uit. Maar bij het tekenen van het contract werd het al minder gezellig. In tegenstelling tot het Belvilla contract (€0,35 per kWh) rekende de eigenaar €0,50 per kWh elektriciteit. Begrijpelijk gezien de huidige energieprijzen, maar niet volgens afspraak. Ook moesten wij ter plekke even €800 (!) contact aftikken als borg. Pinnen of overmaken was geen optie. De volgende dag stond de eigenaar ‘s avonds ineens voor de deur. Hij kwam de meterstanden opnemen omdat hij dacht dat wij deze avond zouden vertrekken. We hebben hem even herinnerd aan het feit dat we de volgende dag pas zouden vertrekken. Wat er precies met hem aan de hand was, durf ik niet te zeggen. Maar hij was duidelijk in de war en was volgens eigen zeggen “in a fiesta mood”. We spraken af dat we hem de volgende dag een uur voor vertrek zouden bellen. Helaas nam hij steeds niet op en antwoordde hij ook niet op sms en whatsapp. We moesten dus vertrekken zonder samen de villa en de meterstanden te checken. We bleven hem bellen en sms’en, maar zonder resultaat. Na 48 uur stuurde hij een sms terug dat hij de volgende dag de eindafrekening zou sturen. We zijn inmiddels ruim een week verder en we hebben nog steeds geen afrekening gezien. De eigenaar reageert nog steeds niet op berichten. Wel heeft hij de borg - €210 teruggestort. Hoe deze €210 is opgebouwd weten we dus niet. Lang verhaal kort: mooie villa, prachtige omgeving, maar een eigenaar die zijn gasten blijkbaar niet serieus neemt en wel een cursusje klanten communicatie kan gebruiken. Wij gaan volgend jaar voor een andere villa. Ne m'appelle pas!
