We knew it was a fair distance from the beach so we hired a car from the off.
And it is. There is a free mini bus service which an elderly Norwegian couple were saying they had used and was a good service there, they had a taxi back from the sea front. The rooms were large, quiet and comfortable. Well disposed for a good self catering holiday. It was October half term that we went and the restaurant was closed but still a good range of food available in the bar . A bit out in the sticks for my liking but nevertheless, for the price, a good base.
The apartments are in a good, central location, close to many bars, restaurants and shops. There are two supermarkets very conveniently located close by.
Maid service is indeed "limited". We stayed 5 nights, with maid service provided only once: bin emptied, and towels changed. That was it. Nothing more.
We last stayed in these apartments in November 2014, in the block on the opposite side of the road. The hideously uncomfortable bed was no different there. The ill-fitting bedding is fine if nobody is actually in the bed!!! Hard bed with hard pillows. But, we use the place as a base only. The two-seater sofa just about accommodated one and a half of us, and we aren't that fat!!!!!!
The flimsy shower curtain is too short, causing excess water to accumulate on the bathroom floor, and the curtain sticks to the body. Not too pleasant.
Very basic, but can't beat the location, which is the main attraction.
Safety deposit box was charged at a rate of 20 Euros for our 5-night stay, which was surprisingly refunded in full on departure - therefore free of charge, which was nice.
The hotel is lovely and the apartment well set out with everything you need. The beds are really comfortable and the maids were in everyday.
The one downside is that although there are lots of fantastic restaurants down on the beach there were few other amenities. Buses were very cheap and bus stops were close to the hotel to visit Marbella and Peurto Banus. Both had large markets and plenty to see.
Some of the staff at the hotel didn't speak English so it was sometimes a struggle to get answers to any questions you had.
I was very surprised when asking about restaurants in the nearby area of the hotel, how little the staff knew about them.....how to get to them and recommendations.
Overall a lovely break.
Resort clean, rooms large, laundry in room.
We had a beautiful 3 bedroom apartment with short walk to the pool and beach. (Beach chairs NOT included)
Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.
We paid less and had nicer amenities than our travel companions who stayed at a "5 Star" Resort and Spa.
Very happy, will stay again!

We had a studio apartment! Very clean and comfortable. We had a kitchenette - dishwasher, washing machine, oven, hob, microwave - all crockery, pans etc provided! Fold down bed (great idea, however - beware, it is heavy)! Plenty bedding provided and sofa turned into a bed too! Lovely clean shower room! Hair dryer, iron and board also in room! We also ate too n the restaurant a few nights - excellent service and food good - can also order food to take out!
Only downside is that this hotel is part of Diamond resorts - as soon as we arrived we were asked to join presentation etc to become members! We declined this and were then left alone.
I would stay here again and would recommend to others!
The hotel is easy to find and in a great location. Check in was quick and fuss free and we were able to park the car in the street at the side. The rooms are basic, but have everything you need, microwave, cooker, toaster, kettle and a hairdryer. There is a small supermarket within the hotel, but Lidl is 5 minutes walk up the street. Right on the promenade and within easy walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants and the marina, which is beautiful. Good location to either relax or go further afield as the motorway is easily accessable from the hotel. Some great restaurants nearby and very reasonably priced. We didn't eat in the hotel as we were in the self catering apartments, so cannot comment on their food. The rooms are basic, but good value for money with the location. If you are looking for a luxury holiday, it's not for you, but if your looking for somewhere clean to sleep and use as a base, it's perfect.
Had a very nice well appointed two bedroom apartment with a very nice kitchen. DIsappointed that on arrival there was no sachet of coffee or tea or anything for washing up in the kitchen. The kitchen itself is well equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine but the smallest coffee maker and a toaster but no kettle. The counter top hob was good but the oven was a microwave/ grill that the labels were worn out so difficult to figure out how to use.
There was a safe in the main bedroom but at a cost of €2.50 a day to use and a baby chair was also €2.50 a day.
The location is very good and just a short walk to the beach front and a great selection of restaurants and a train station.
Just across the street is a supermarket with a second at the end of the road stocking up for lunch or dinner is easy.
The hotel deserves a higher rating but the add on charges and the lack of a kettle leave it down. That being said I would stay again but next time I would come prepared.
Was very impressed with this apartment as it was extremely affordable the apartment was large with a lovely garden I had with table An chairs near the covered pool which meant we could still swim out of season. The welcome pack of food was a lovely touch. The reception girls were extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was spotlessley clean it had everything. The location was fantastic to 8 min drive to the port. But also outside apartment there was loads of shops bakery and a supermarket just down the road as well as cafes and restaurants. X
