The location of the property is fantastic! You can sit on the front porch and look right over the water. It’s a little remote, but that adds to the charm. Clear skies, bright stars. One restaurant and a general store just a couple minutes walk, but not much else for conveniences so be prepared. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious and the owner was full of information and very friendly. As was the cute dog! A hidden gem. We only had a reservation for one night. We couldn't extend as the Cresthaven was booked which was unfortunate for my husband and me. Cathrine and Warren, our hosts, went out of their way to make our stay the very best. We arrived late in the evening. The local restaurant was closed. The next nearest place was over a half hour away. Cathrine volunteered to make us a chicken salad for dinner instead of us driving to the nearest town. That was so sweet and unexpected. The next morning at breakfast Warren fed us a breakfast that stayed with us most of the day. He had coffee with us; we talked about our plans and Warren offered wonderful suggestions which we took. Between the offer of dinner, the previous night and tips on what to do that day things couldn't have been better. Already planning our next trip to Cresthaven and believe me, we will stay more than one night. Plenty to see and do. Our host was kind, knowledgeable and a great cook! We were able to take the short drive to Burntcoat Head Park and explore. There was a great restaurant that we walked to for dinner.
