We took one look at this hotel, billed as a Windham resort, but now identified as Days Inn, and felt uncomfortable. We took one smell in the room and immediately asked for a refund. The hotel was almost empty, there was trash in the parking lot and courtyard, and the room smelled like trash had been stored there. We asked the desk clerk for a refund but she said she was unable as we booked through Expedia. Expedia stated that because we paid the hotel directly, only the hotel could issue a refund. The clerk on Saturday August 15, 2026 lied to my face and said she couldn’t refund the money! DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY!!!! They are crooks. We couldn’t see the room until we paid up front, and were told we couldn’t have a refund. Expedia should get the lame act together and stop recommend this dump! Check the other reviews! It is a mess.

The first room we went to the AC wasn’t really working but the guy at the front switched us with no hassle to the room next door so everything worked out. Very clean

It was like we had the whole place to ourselves! The hotel was definitely the highlight to our stay in Roanoke. My kids loved the refreshments. The hotel was beautiful, the bed & furniture were amazing and so comfortable. We did not have bedding the first night we were there for the pullout, not that my teenager cared, but we found someone doing housekeeping the following day and he was so nice and got it immediately.
