The property is wonderfully quaint and quirky but needs a bit of updating and care. The staff was excellent, helpful and the food was great!

A brilliant advert for Ayr and its area. Very helpful and friendly staff. Ray was most helpful and gave us directions. When in the town the next day looking for the premises he happened to be passing, spotted us and made sure we found the place!

The swimming pool area wasn't to clean. The doors need cleaned they are really dirty. The floors in the womens changing room were like big puddles and dirty.p

Very friendly & relaxed atmosphere. Room was spacious & had everything we needed. Public areas, especially in corridors require freshening up but did not affect our enjoyable stay.

The location is great, next to the sea in a quiet residential street, close to the town centre. Friendly staff who made us feel welcomed. Nice pool and sauna, the gym also looked good but we didn't have time to try it out. The breakfast was generous and well cooked with cety friendly restaurant staff. The room was generous in size and well kept but the air conditioning unit outside the window made sleep almost impossible for my husband. What a shame as otherwise it was a great experience.

It was a very relaxing hotel and accessible to the surrounding areas (shops, beach, etc). The staff were very friendly and helpful and made our stay memorable. The food was excellent and the leisure facilities where also very good.

Stayed in Family room (Sovereign) with sea view, plenty of space, comfortable bed. Large bathroom with Victorian style bath and separate shower cabinet. Food was very good and service too. Have been several times before and will be back again soon.

Creaky floor boards are not great when people are coming and going. The room was very spacious and the shower was nice and powerful We had dinner and breakfast both were excellent and had good choices, staff are very helpful and very pleasant

This is my second stay here. First stay was much better. Room with no natural light at all. Poor sound proofing. Loud music blaring all night, air-conditioning unit from another room rattling all night.

Sadly, the pillows were terrible. They were not fit for a four star hotel. Pointed this out to the staff and the second night we had different pillows, but unfortunately they were not comfortable Either. The hotel is a little bit tired and old-fashioned looking . on the plus side, it was very cold whilst you were there, but the room was very cosy and water for the shower and bathLovely and warm.

Great hotel
We stayed here for one night on our way home from holiday. From the moment we entered we were made to feel so welcome. Staff were so friendly, polite and helpful. We had use of the leisure complex which whilst not large has good facilities. Our room was very comfortable and contained everything we needed and lots of little touches that just make your stay special e.g. packets of biscuits and hot chocolate along with tea and coffee. We had dinner at the hotel and there was a great choice of well priced meals on offer. Breakfast again was comprehensive and everyones' tastes were accommodated. The location is great just a few minutes walk from Ayr beach and 10 minutes from the town centre. Great value for money!

Great hotel and location
Great location, by the beach but also only 5 minutes walk from the town centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. Room very clean and spacious, and the shower had a very powerful flow!

Fairfield Fails
The Room assigned to us was very dingy. The bed was like a slab of concrete. There was a constant drip from the toilet, the light on the bathroom mirror did not work. The carpet was very thread bar. The food in the restaurant was way over priced for the quality we received. The coffee at breakfast was like very bad, sausages were steamed and not fried, smelt and tasted disgusting. Fried bread was fried in spent oil, smelt and tasted so bad, I nearly vomited. After complaining, we were moved to the a larger room, the bed was still like a slab of concrete, I gave up complaining after that. No doubt we will never visit a RAD hotel again. Better to go to Premier hotels, rooms much better and cheaper too.

Relaxing overnight break.
My sister and i just had an overnight stay for a wee break. Reception staff pleasant. Rooms spotless, comfy bed. Great shower. Food fabulous, we had dinner and breakfast, everything cooked to perfection. All the staff were so welcoming, all in all we had a lovely stay and will certainly be back.

An extra holiday break
Very clean.Helpful staff. 1st class breakfast. Bigger menu required for Dinner. Noise from the Plant room attached to the swimming pool most disturbing during the night. Ruined an otherwise excellent holiday.

Nice hotel, welcoming staff.
Nice enough stay, room was just OK but clean. Bit of noise been above the Wedding function but probably due to booking though hotels.com offer and didn’t go on late. Breakfast was tasty and bar area was comfortable. Staff all very friendly and pool a good enough size. Fantastic location for the beach. Only disappoint was no food available anywhere onsite / room service when we got back to the hotel from a few drinks in the town around 10. Quite aggressively signposted saying no takeaways or external food allowed either.
