Technology is a stranger to night staff who couldn't log on to see I had booked Gave me a self catering style suite and it had a fridge and oven but nothing at all to make tea or coffee with. Continental breakfast is white bread processed toast and jam and tinned prunes.

Great location, and nice hotel

The location is a five min walk into Maidenhead. The hotel itself is clean, with excellent staff. The breakfast was superb - good quality ingredients, well cooked. Some have called it dated. In fairness the decor is not old, just a little old-fashioned. Chintzy. Nothing wrong with that!

Great stay in Maidenhead

Clean and spacious rooms, friendly and helpful staff, close to London (only 40 mins by train, which is close-by). Great stay overall.

very nice hotel

Second stay, loved it. Small and comfortable hotel with great service. 10-15 min walk to central Maidenhead. Comfy beds, great breakfast and really nice food in resturant!

Nice, neat, not very well maintained

The Walton Cottage is a quaint hotel with very friendly staff. I know a lot of European hotels are a little more rustic in style, but this hotel was a little bit lacking in amenities. I had to lug my luggage up a couple flights of stairs to even get to the elevator, which was annoying and the heating wasn't great. I had to bundle myself up every night. Breakfast had only a couple of options. It is walking distance from the main shopping center and park in Maidenhead which made it convenient.

Good hotel

Hotel is very convenient for Maidenhead. Food in restaurant is very good. Only offer one hour's free WIFI which seems a bit behind the times as most hotels offer this free.

Good no frills hotel

Pillows were very hard, breakfast well presented . The hotel is very well presented but seems dated, dining room reminds me of an old B&B,.That sid the staff were really nice and the hotel was warm, clean and resonably located.

Great Hotel for couples

We had a great stay at the Walton Cottage Hotel. The room was a great size, particularly considering the great value compared to other hotels in the area. Everything in the room was clean and faultless and the staff were always friendly and helpful. All in all a great experience!

Honest, Simple and Excellent Staff

Always a warm welcome, rooms are good if you choose executive, bit small if you don't! Restaurant is quiet but always welcoming, breakfast is full English and cereal, no continental though. WiFi bit hit and miss but generally good. Very close to Maidenhead centre, recommended hotel!
