The hotel is a decent place to stay and inexpensive compared to other places, however it is by no means cheap. A few annoying things: even though there are two people checking in the room, they give you only one key. They had to actually cut out an extra key for me at the price of SCR 150(abt USD 20, no refund upon return of the key). There are no elevators - the 2 flights of stairs in the scorching heat was quite something. When climbing up the said stairs there are nice picture glass windows but they are dirty, which is really bad as this is the first impression of the hotel you get as you go up to your room. All in all, our stay was pleasant. The girls at the reception desk were very courteous and helpful; especially as our luggage had gone astray in the airline system. The room service was good. The bed was comfortable. Out of the 3 restaurants, two of them were very good but expensive. The pizzeria resto was not especially good. The busboys at reception were very helpful to carry our luggage up and down the infernal stairs. Would I go back to stay there one day? Yes, I would!!!

Beautiful beach
The hotel is right on a beautiful beach with lots of lounge chairs. Swimming is great with just enough waves to make it fun. The Indian restaurant on site has really good food.

Horrible staff , I couldn’t recommend anybody to stay at this poorly managed one star facility it ruined my whole vacation ! Check in made us wait for six hours lied to us continually it was a complete fiasco and very very disappointing !

Early Arrival was confusing and not secure. Luggage was I tagged and stored in a common closet that anyone could access. After sitting in unoccupied beach chairs for 90 minutes, we were asked by hotel security to vacate chairs for guests who had “reserved” them by placing clean unopened towels on each one. Sand was kicked on me from head to toe by a guest who claimed to have “tripped”. No WiFi or TV in room although IT was contacted

We aarived at this resort on 2 Jan 2020 and stayed for 5 days the reception area was very outdated with so old sofa and furniture that you you sink in it wet smelly and dirty the smell of bathroom filled the reception area Rooms are so uncomfirtable thst yiu say is it possibke fir the money i paid??? You paid for resort stay but no balcony at all, uncomfirtable and very old bed and towels to its last thrras falling apart The breakfasr buffeh was nit hygene at all, , cheapest ald lowest quality of cheese bread and other items food looks lije left over from last night buffe, not enought fruit just few cuts of orange, consider yiu hsbe paid a good amount of money to enjoy tropical resort The beach was full of broken glasses , you had to be very careful where you are stepping. They shoukd close this horribke hotel resort immediately, there is nothing there that yiu feel even a 2 star hotel. Do not waste yiur money and effort flying to this rotten place

I stayed in this hotel in 2016 it was ok but now 2020 I wouldn’t recommend it and wouldn’t use again! it has gone downhill, it really needs a face lift and happier staff! Such a shame as Seychelles is such a beautiful country!

The double deluxe room I booked turned out to be a chalet away from the main building which didn't look like the photos and did not have a bath tub. It was nice but made it inconvenient as I was separated from my friend who was in a standard room, and made movement difficult when it rained. Also, the room walls are so thin, I could hear all the sounds and snoring from the next room. Something should really be done about that. The pool also closes too early. Otherwise, no other complain. The room was clean, and service was good and prompt and location was excellent. I was I would stay there again.

Sun bed cushion's need urgently replacing, all split, torn and generally could be classed as health hazard. Pool towels thread bare. A majority of staff could do customer service service training and be customer focussed. Noisy in rooms on first & second floor.Buffet breakfast was okay nothing special, took long time to replenished items, staff slow and blunt. Good points nice beach front location and lovely sandy beach. Chinese restaurant excellent.

Such a horrible hotel. Waited 60 minutes for bath towels, never answered the reception phone when we called to ask a question, never cleaned the room properly extremely dirty, sand in the bed on the first night, never changed the sheets & never had any toilet paper had to request it several times

This hotel was a nightmare from hell, staff are very unhelpful, everything is outdated old look like a hospital maternity ward of 1940s built It’s best stay well clear of this hotel, there’s no management in place in this hotel as nobody knows what’s happening. Even on the day of arrival they were very unprofessional as we arrived at 2pm they kept us waiting for an hour before they allocated the room and none made us feel welcome or help with the luggages

Property is in Indian hands. Very rude to customers and other staff members. I witnessed a reception person bashing publicly a cleaning staff for cleaning the floor. So unfriendly. "I can't explain your bill because you would not understand". I can understand especially when I get a copy of my receipts, which I did not. Weird place.

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever had the misfortune of visiting. I understand that it is one of the least expensive hotels in the area (I can say that the location is the only positive aspect), but it is also the oldest hotel and this is very apparent from the lobby, the restaurant and the rooms; they are all extremely outdated and dirty. In our room there was sand on the floor, hairs, cockroaches, ants and all the walls are paper thin so everyone can hear everything from your neighbors and in the hallway. The service is the worst, not only are staff not helpful, but they are also rude. I would never stay again, much better to get an airbnb or pay a little more for something decent.

Beauty of outside compensates for indside.
This is the third time for us in this hotel/resort. We give the hotel an average to poor rating for the rooms and the beds.The service is slow but with patience they will get there. The breakfast is ok but here as well patience and finally they will bring new glasses and refill whatever is finished. We would go again for the great beach and the nice pool. And there is the exellent diving school "Seychelles Underwater Centre" and not to forget the hotel is one of the cheapest in Beau Vallon. Our kids just love it there. We would go there again for the price we paid.

The air conditioner was noisy and the building itself seems to be quite old. When i reached at the hotel on the check in night , most of the food was nearly over in the parrot restaurant which was open buffet. As i took half board it was written in my hotel details that i had to take voucher at reception by noon to eat at the other restaurants. The next day i went to work from the hotel and returned around 6 pm which means that it is impossible for me to take the voucher for other restaurants. When i check out the guys at the front office were really nice and helpful. i think the hotel should now be equiped with a passenger lift in year 2019. the hotel's yard on the seaside view is very limited. In Mauritius at the price which Berjaya charged me per night , we get an al inclusive at around 9000 Mauritian rupees per night. THe seaside also should have been more attractive in front of the hotel but i was much disappointed.

For a nation whose economy is dependent on tourism, I really did expect a bit more customer service oriented approach from the staff. As individuals they were nice, once engaged, but we felt like we were intruding on their work day at the resort. We had issues every day, while each one was relatively minor, and let’s face it, stuff happens, the issues stacked up during our stay. We were early for the 1400 check in, not a problem as that was on us and we were told to return at 1330. We grabbed some lunch and returned at 1400 only to wait another 20 minutes. Then the AC did not work in our room and after waiting for an hour for it to “kick in” we had to go to the front desk. They did send a repairman by quickly and the issue was resolved. But it took hours for our room to become comfortable. We had to ask for our laundry back twice (after waiting for 24 hours) before we got it back and some clothes were mixed up. One day housekeeping didn’t leave any towels at all and we had to ask for towels twice before any were delivered. At dinner I politely mentioned to the server that we had been waiting for over 30 minutes for our food he shook his head “no.” We were one of two tables in that dining area. Then I watched the staff discuss our ticket, which had obviously been overlooked. There are more things that happened, but not enough space to list them here.

Location is perfect .... you can walk down beach to local food places and bars. Hotel is on the beach. Could do with a few more sun loungers but thats probably same the world over :)

nice beach hotel
the hotel is really fine, but there did seem to be some lack of attention to details. Breakfast service was kind of lacking. The beach is nice...with huge waves. There were some fairly mediocre restaurants nearby that are expensive. Finding dinner was a bit difficult here.
