With 3 beautifully appointed bedrooms, 3.5 baths and room for up to 8 guests, this serene hideaway offers privacy, comfort, and access to some of the region's most spectacular natural wonders. Crafted with natural materials and a commitment to comfort, Casona Palms features custom concrete architecture, hand picked decor, and luxury textiles throughout. Every space has been created to offer a comfortable coastal experience. Open concept great room with ocean views and hand carved furniture with 3 double doors to the outdoor terrace and direct access to 185 feet of private beach. The fully equipped kitchen provides cookware, Ninja blender, juicer, microwave, coffee maker and grinder, full size refrigerator and toaster plus all new tableware, cutlery and handblown Mexican glassware. The dining area seats 8 plus island seating for 6 - perfect for group meals. Wake up to the sound of the ocean and palm trees with sweeping views of the Caribbean from the private bedroom suites which include the Main Villa: second floor Master Suite with king bed, ensuite bath with double vanity and large walk-in shower, private oceanfront terrace with daybed and seating, gel memory foam topper, 650 thread count linens and down pillows and comforter, sleeps 2\. Main Villa: second floor Double Guest Suite with two full beds, ensuite bath with double vanity and large walk-in shower, private ocean terrace with 2 sun loungers, 500 thread count linens, down/down alternative pillows and down comforter plus couch that converts to single bed, sleeps 4-5\. Enjoy outdoor dining on the expansive oceanfront terrace with handcrafted wood dining table and chairs to seat 8 plus wood loungers. Beachfront grill and outdoor shower with 4 barstools for lounging while you grill - caretaker will light the grill at your request and can help source fresh fish and lobster in season. Shaded king beach bed, perfect for ultimate relaxation plus hammocks and loungers for beach lounging. Activities include beach volleyball - set up on request, 2 kayaks and 2 paddleboards for exploring the calms waters, swim spots and snorkeling just steps away (walk north to find deep sandy bottomed swimming spots) plus fishing and snorkeling at the reef which is approximately 500 yards off our beach. Don’t miss the amazing stargazing at night and breathtaking sunrises. Our villa is seamless off-grid living and is designed to operate sustainably without sacrificing comfort. The villa has a solar powered energy system with backup generator, filtered rainwater system with 10,000 gallon cistern (plus bottled drinking water provided), Wi-Fi via Starlink for reliable internet and Wi-Fi calling. Please note there is no A/C as the home was custom built for natural ventilation, with breezy crosswinds and fans in every room. No television so bring a laptop for streaming or enjoy unplugged evenings by the sea. Your stay is supported by our discreet, full time caretaker, who lives on-site in a private residence with his wife. He provides daily beach raking and clean-up (note that during sargassum season, it can be difficult to clear the beach completely depending on currents and wind), daily trash removal, fresh towel/linen service upon request and grill prep and sourcing local seafood (charcoal briquettes provided). Optional laundry service is available on Saturday and must be arranged with caretaker for an extra fee. Optional meal services available for evening dinners and on weekends for an extra fee. Explore the nearby activities in Mahahual which is just 35 minutes away. The vibrant beach town of Mahahual offers a mix of local charm and tourist amenities. Walk the Malecon, a beachfront promenade with casual restaurants, beach bars and markets. Take a dive or snorkeling trip to the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest reef in the world. Book a fishing charter or paddle board lesson. Massages are available on the beach daily at many locations on the Malecon. The hosts have put plenty of thought and care into their guests experience. From the moment I was in touch with Julie, the host, prior to completing the booking she very easy to communicate with.Julie went above and beyond during our stay. She immediately ordered us a stainless steel pan when we let her know one of the non stick cookware pans was scratched. Julie even ordered a Christmas tree and decorations for our daughters out of the goodness of her heart. It was such a lovely gesture and speaks volumes of how she cares about her guests and their time spent at the villa. She was in touch often sharing tips about current events in the area.The caretakers and their sweet pets on site were great and very friendly. Again, we had our expectations exceeded when they called to inform us we forgot a piece of luggage. They offered to drive it to us all the way in town. We both started to drive towards each other and Jose (the caretaker) met us half way on the road with the bag. He saved us a lot of time. We were very comfortable at Casona Palms. Don't worry about no a/c! The house is truly built with fantastic ventilation. The decor, the linens, the furniture, the fully stocked kitchen with things that mater like sharp knifes and cold water in the fridge for you upon arrival and the expansive private beachfront - all of it was by far one of the nicest places we have stayed in.
