The on-site manager was very friendly and extremely helpful. The cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable. Loved the retro microwave oven and Keurig-style coffee maker. This little paradise, tucked away from the busyness of Maggie Valley by just a half mile, feels like it's in its own little corner of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our favorite parts were, of course, the creek that can be heard from every room of the house, the fireplace that kept the whole cabin toasty, and the memories we made! The kitchen is pretty spare as far as cooking supplies, but the property managers were so friendly and attentive and readily brought a few essentials that we were lacking. Our family has been coming here for decades, and this last trip did not disappoint. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. There were plenty of towels and washcloths for the family. The beds were comfortable and blankets warm. The cabin is so super cute and had the best rustic charm, it was perfect. The creek right outside the back door was the best and so peaceful. We were so close to downtown but yet felt like we were out by ourselves too, the best of both worlds. I had a question about something and sent a message through VRBO and they were excellent at getting back to me quickly and answered my question. Great cabins, and location for traveling surrounding area's and more importantly a place to just relax, sitting in a rocking chair, and taking in the view. The one change from the many, many, years we have vacationed here is they no longer have a laundry service onsite. So if you are staying only a couple of days that's ok. But if you plan to stay for a week or longer, either bring your own towels and wash clothes or be prepared to purchase additional linens at one of the local stores. ##### Tony C. This creekside cabin had a rustic feel but definitely was not lacking in modern amenities. The screened porch overlooking the creek was our favorite place to hang out and watch our 9-year-old grandson play. He even said "Grandma, this is the life!" And we agree. It was so relaxing listening to the babbling waters and enjoying the lovely rocking chairs. We were so sad when it was time to go home and can't wait to go back!! Kitchen had K-cups, soaps, dishes, pots and pans. Wi-fi worked good. It’s on the creek and has a screened in back porch with rocking chairs. It was relaxing The Caretakers are very nice and helpful also. We enjoy it as a single family unit and when my entire family goes (this time 30 people in 6 cabins). The creek is great for the kids to play in and peaceful for adults to listen to. Love that we can all grill out under the shelter and play in the grassy area in middle. Elk walking between the cabins was a treat for the kids!! Caretakers very helpful!! ##### Tammy D.
