This comfortable 3-bedroom flat in Madrid is the perfect accommodation for guests looking for a comfortable and convenient stay. The flat is located on the third floor and is accessible only by stairs. The living room features a comfortable sofa, a TV and a dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped with essential kitchenware, such as a cooker, an oven and a microwave. For added convenience, the property is equipped with a washing machine and ironing equipment to meet your laundry needs. All three bedrooms have double beds, including bed linen. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom for privacy and comfort. The other bedroom has a balcony from which you can enjoy the views of the neighbourhood. Both bathrooms are equipped with all the necessary amenities such as fresh towels, hairdryer and free toiletries. Enjoy your stay! Guests will have access to the entire home! Our home is located conveniently in Lavapíes. Key pickup is within walking distance, and we'll provide detailed instructions for a smooth check-in. Located just south of central Madrid and only a stone's throw from the top sites of the city lies effortlessly cool, multicultural Lavapiés — one of the hippest neighborhoods in the city. Colorful murals and art pieces decorate the walls, lively tapas bars spill out onto the sidewalks, and the energy and heart of Madrid's international community are hard to escape. One of the highlights is the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, which houses an impressive collection of contemporary and modern art, including iconic works by Picasso and Dalí. Art enthusiasts can also explore the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, known for its extensive collection of European masterpieces spanning several centuries. A culinary haven with a diverse range of restaurants and bars, one of the standout establishments is Malacatín. This renowned restaurant offers traditional Spanish cuisine, particularly famous for its delectable cocido madrileño, a hearty chickpea-based stew. This property is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before checking into the property. You can check in any time of the day as long as you respect our standard check-in time (3 p.m.). We provide the basic amenities for the first use: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products and bin bag. Please let us know if you need cleaning or extra linen; we will gladly provide an additional charge. There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at a minimum. Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€. The living room with open kitchen was awesome and we had our coffee and tea there every day. The apartment was newly remodeled, with everything needed and even iron and umbrella, thank you we used them! Location wise, we were close to many center attractions, within 15 min walk to most. The neighborhood is ethnic, but we didn't feel unsafe and the vast choices of little stores, halal shops and mercadillos, made things very convenient. We found a lovely bakery just 3 min away and a wine store one block over....I will say no more. The hosting company is very responsive, addressing our questions and issues really fast. Police warned our husbands that it was an unsafe area and that we should not go out at all at night. They told us to remove any watches or jewelery if we chose to venture out during the day. The first night brought shouting and screaming on the street and we awoke to find garbage dumped and strewn everywhere. We checked out after that first night. The neighborhood is not only unsafe but also far from family-friendly. In the evenings, the streets were crowded with drug dealers, making us feel very uneasy. Moreover, the entrance door was broken and could not be securely closed, leaving us feeling vulnerable. We had to resort to barricading the door with the sofa just to feel somewhat safe enough to sleep. The shower water turned cold after just a few minutes, making it impossible to enjoy a proper shower. Additionally, the sofa was dirty, and there was a strange odor lingering throughout the apartment. Despite immediately contacting GuestReady's customer service upon arrival, we received no assistance or callback as promised. We felt completely abandoned and left to deal with the issues on our own, which was unacceptable. Overall, I strongly advise against booking this property. But - be warned about these issues. 1) It's a 5th floor walk up. Not a problem for us. Could be for others 2) They had 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. When we asked about this, they said, "They provide enough for us to get started." Seriously? That is not a typical experience for me as a regular VRBO used. 3) Towels - one small towel per person. Nothing else in the apartment. We spilled something in the kitchen and had to use one of those towels! We were then down a towel all week 4) There are homeless people everywhere on the street. They scream in the wee hours of the morning. Every night we were there. This was not a one time exception. It's a very active neighborhood so you are never alone and honestly, everyone seemed nice. But, be forewarned. This is not necessarily a neighborhood for a family with young children and the yelling at night can interrupt sleep. 6) The pillows are absolutely terrible. Old. Lumpy. Not comfortable. 7) They had no one renting the apartment after us and we asked if we could leave our luggage there. We got a sharp "NO." This is rented through a business, Guest Ready, not a person. Very corporate. 8) The sink in the back bedroom is leaking. Sometimes it leaks. Sometimes not. Overall, a very below average experience. ##### Margaret K.
