It is close to our family we were visiting. The property was real clean. The neighborhood Is quite with plenty of wildlife. The only negative was we checked out on Sunday. We had to take all the garbage out and roll their garbage can to the street. We paid a cleaning fee for them to clean. Why would I have to roll the garbage cans to the street if the cleaning crew was coming to clean!!! ##### Bobbie S. The house has a cool 60’s retro vibe and had plenty of room for us and our dogs. The real gem is the Shirley Hills neighborhood, it is lovely. We had no idea something like this even existed in Macon. It’s great for walking and the nearby Jackson Springs Park has a pretty camellia garden in full bloom right now. We came for a concert NYE at the City Auditorium, it’s a nice small venue. Downtown is thriving with all kinds of shops, bars, restaurants and we were pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again. ##### Laura L. We booked early to avoid hurricane milton who was headed to our home in Venice. They accommodated our who family including fur babies. The neighborhood was nice. Communication from the owners was definitely lacking. First of all we didn’t receive access to the property until late Thursday night. We were leaving early Friday morning so this made me very uncomfortable and for a nerve-racking road trip. We had sent 3 messages several hours apart plus customer service was contacted & they sent 2 messages before the owners finally responded. Then, after we arrived I asked if there were any extra blankets because it got down in the 40s at night. They had the “dog blankets” but my guest didn’t want to use a dog blanket. Since the owners never responded we decided to turn up the heat. One of us was comfortable but the rest of us got hot. It’s unfortunate that we had a bad experience and for the cost I will say you would not stay here again. We need answers to our questions with good, timely communication. ##### Sandy C. It was quiet, cool, and comfortable. Having this house to go home to after a full day convention was a pleasure. Our drive every morning was highlighted by deer everywhere. Enjoyed being able to invite coworkers to the house to grill steaks. The home is great. Outdoor backyard is amazing. We saw a doe and a baby fawn. Also, there were a lot of fireflies.
