Affordable. I booked this room uner the impression that I was renting a cabin. So when I checked in, I asked the receptionist if what I booked was a cabin and she said no! I was truly disappointed. I knew at about 100$ for the night it would have been way to lucky. Going back to the website page after the fact, I realize that pictures of the regular model rooms and the cute cottages are all mixed in there. But the first few pictures you look at are the cottages. So it makes you think that's what you are renting. I'm sure lots of people make that mistake. So the motel room was decently clean. Very outdated though. But everything worked. But the walls are also paper thin. You hear pretty clearly people chatting and laughing. It makes it hard to sleep at night. I had to turn on the AC to block the noises. We were there in late October. I can see that it's prime location in the summer. The property is right on the lake. Staff was rude. Threatened to throw my dogs out before they even arrived. Room was messy and a lot junkier than pictured. Lots of shady men staying at the hotel. Not a great place for a family with a 5 year old girl. The “waterpark” was filthy. As soon as we walked in we knew we would never stay there. It was a risk to our health. Would not recommend this hotel. Ironically it was the last one available to be booked in the entire hotel metaverse. I believe this is false advertising and Expedia should check into this! I booked a room for 4 adults thinking we were getting a room that sleep six, and that was not the case. I did call Expedia and they were able to get me an upgrade, but not the cabin that I thought I was renting. This “cabin” looked nothing like the cabin photos on the listing. Totally run down. We couldn’t even take a shower due to cold water and spiders in the shower. Now, this one particular night is a legend in our family of that one night of our trip that was gross. I am rather proud that I toughed it out. I felt like a real wilderness woman out in the wild. The toilet clogged, the pillows were oddly small, there were no cups, and the safety bar in the shower was missing (they put some tape over the gaping hole) which made it difficult and unsafe for my husband who has a medical condition that effects his balance. The staff was super friendly and helpful, but even the nicest people in the world can’t make up for a poor facility.
