This stunning mid-century home is surrounded by lush woods while being just a short walk from private Lake Michigan beaches. Enjoy the serene atmosphere of Macatawa from multiple wraparound decks and balconies. As you enter the home you will find the first flight of stairs leading to a home office and a separate space designed to hold beach gear, beach towels and a mini fridge - perfect for packing beverages for the day. The next flight of stairs leads to multiple bedrooms, a full bath and a family room. This floor offers a queen bedroom with private balcony and 2 additional queen bedrooms. Kids will love the floating beds in the matching bunk rooms that make it feel like their own private tree fort. A full bath is located on this floor as well. A short flight of stairs leads to a cozy sitting area surrounded by windows and panoramic views. The last flight of stairs leads to the top floor. The open floor plan offers unimpeded views and plenty of sunshine through the domed skylight in the living and dining area The primary suite boasts a king bed and private bath, with unique custom bathtub and waterfall faucet, plus a spacious walk in shower. This level features walk out sliders to a wraparound deck spanning the property and offering peaceful seclusion in the surrounding wooded dunes, outdoor dining space and gas grill. We loved every minute of it! The home is beautiful and had everything we needed, including a gorgeous beach!! Unbelievable!! Amazing private sandy beach on beautiful Lake Michigan and an easy walk to the Big Red Lighthouse. Fabulous sunsets, good fishing off the pier, lovely neighborhood. It's hard to name anything we didn't love about it, but some families may want to know the house has lots of stairs and it is an uphill walk from the beach to the house. We just considered it all good exercise and part of the experience in order to access the amazing views from the decks all around the house. From one side of the house, you feel like you are in the woods - including wildlife like squirrels and deer; from other sides you can hear and see Lake Michigan. It was a bonus that we were so close to Holland and Saugatuk and got to enjoy visits to those lovely towns, as well. Outdoor seating on decks surrounded by treetops. Short walk downhill to lovely, quiet beach. Check in/check out was seamless. Communication with management company was impeccable. We had several issues during our stay, but they were dealt with promptly. Parking was tight for large SUV, but no problem for small/medium vehicles. The home was every bit as unique and special as imagined. All-around an amazing place. I highly recommend. The views from all the decks were endless. Easy walk to the beach. Well equipped kitchen. Nice workspace (if needed). A few suggestions for future enhancements: the house could use another bathroom on the main living floor (five bedrooms share one bathroom). Larger than the photos show! sleeps 16+ if you count the Aero bed. Wrap-around decks. Many stair steps, but weren't a problem for us. Access to a semi-private beach was a bonus. This was the perfect spot. The architecture of the home and the views from the living area and surrounding deck were spectacular. There was ample space for the 8 of us, and, even though there are many stairs, it did not detract from our enjoyment. The house is fully stocked from the kitchen with everything you might need to the added touch of beach towels, beach chairs, and toys. The living area was comfortable and welcoming when we were all together, and the multiple other rooms allowed for privacy when calling it a night or needing a space to relax. Our only regret is that we didn't have a few extra days to enjoy all this house has to offer. ##### Jo O. The retro-modern architecture and furnishings were super cool, and the views of the woods and the lake were great. Only two caveats: (1) There are lots of stairs inside this house - if you can't go up and down stairs then this is not the house for you. (2) If you want more than the broadcast networks on the TV then make sure you bring your own Netflix/Prime/ESPN+/etc. logins for the smart TV (there are no cable channels). Plenty of spots for small groups and great space for the whole fam of 13 to eat and celebrate together. The beach was a short walk away. The steps we read about in the reviews helped to shape us up. The house itself is beautiful, spacious, and well kept. For a larger group, there is plentiful space for dining, resting, and playing. The kitchen and BBQ were large and inviting to prepare meals. It was beautiful, clean, and walking distance to the beach. We had a girls family and friends weekend and it was just what we needed (relaxing). The only thing we needed clarification on was correct gate and door codes when we checked in, which were incorrect from the website.
