"This was exactly what we needed! Our family of four (kids ages 9 and 11) were so comfortable here for four nights. We enjoyed watching sunsets on the beach each night, fishing from the beach, and relaxing on the deck. We explored some local spots as well as Louisburg and the Cabot Trail from here. The team was very responsive when we needed them. On our last morning we saw three deer in front of our dome!"
"My stay was perfect. Having spent my summers on the Bras d’Or lake as a child I knew what I was getting with regards to lake (it is clear, warmer than the ocean, salt water —perfect to me!), but this was my first stay at Lakeside Luxury. I booked the cottage which was a great option for privacy, the screened porch was perfect for the mornings and evenings to get away from bugs. The bed was very comfortable and so was the sofa and there were some really great finishes in the cottage to give it a luxury feel but still with the Cape Breton vibes I grew up with. It was so peaceful and I loved spending my days on the private dock and then going back in the evening to get my sunset pictures (Bras d’Or Arm of Gold). The staff were exceptional. I stayed a week so saw them come and go and they checked in periodically to see if I needed anything and were very pleasant. I needed to get away from my life and spend some time alone with just the sounds of rustling trees and the water lapping on the shore and this place was the perfect choice!! Thank you for an amazing vacation!"
Relaxing Cedar Log Cottage on Bras d'Or Lake over 300 Ft Private Beach & Kayaks

"This is a fantastic place for a family mix of ages. Great deck overlooking the lake. Kayaks were a big hit with the older kids. The house itself was ideal with well appointed kitchen, 5 bedrooms and the 2 bathrooms were a godsent. The size of the place meant 9 people and a dog were never on top of each other and the large living room was excellent for evening get togethers. The wifi and TV were good but as noted the phone coverage was next to non-existent (this is the fault of the service provider not the host).Greg was a good host with answers to our questions and supplying information. I would definitely recommend this place."

"Quick trip for our anniversary. What a great property,clean and EVERYTHING thought out in great detail.Great location and super quiet.Thanks . The only negative thing was the hot tub cover (water logged ) for a small cover its not very easy to put back on the tub."
