The hotel is walking distant from the central station, the area is safe. We visited the city on foot because we like walking and the weather was pleasant. The tramway is another way to travel around. The staff were very welcoming and made our stay more enjoyable. The breakfast was superb and plentiful. Voorafgaand aan ons bezoek had de eigenaar al contact opgenomen en de nodige informatie doorgegeven. We zijn daarnaast erg vriendelijk ontvangen en konden heel vroeg de kamer al in (rond 12:00). Onze kamer was leuk ingericht met o.a. allerlei ouderwetse dingen zoals een typemachine. Het bed was prima. Marcel and Wendy (our hosts at the hotel) were really kind and helpful. A really nice thing about this hotel was that the breakfast was served in the room, which we thought is not a good thing at first. But then it felt really better because we didn't have to wear our clothes just to have breakfast. Plus, we could order only one breakfast and share it together. The hotel is in a really great location. Almost every important place in Maastricht is in the walking distance. So we didn't take any buses while we were at Maastricht (except for the first/last day from/to the train station). The only bad thing about the hotel was the stairs that were kind of scary. The location is fantastic and the owner very helpful. The decor is quirky, the room was a decent size, bathroom small but not an issue still useable.
