My family and I weren`t planning to stay overnight in Lynnwood, but after a day of shopping, I was too tired to drive back to Vancouver. We booked the room at the Best Western on Expedia around 6 pm and checked in around 9:30. Staff was great and even set up the playpen for my 4 year old son. Room was clean and the continental breakfast was perfect. If it was for my 4 yr daughter crying of an ear ache, the stay would been a 5.
This was our first trip Seattle. We choose this hotel because of the proximity to the Alderwood Mall and downtown attractions. The hotel appeared clean and newer. Our room was (almost) comfortable. The beds were a little too hard for our liking and the pillows offered little to no support. We did utilize the pool during the trip, but unfortunately the hot tub was out of order due to a broken pump. The pool area itself seemed a little unkept, with used, wet bandaids on the pool deck, and some debris at the bottom. The breakfast was good, but very busy in the morning. The food was hot, but the eggs were what you would expect for a 2.5 star hotel. Overall, we would probably utilize this hotel in the future.
Close enough to Seattle but far enough to avoid inter-city traffic. Close by to beach access as well as zoos and museums. Near by restaurants as well. The hotel facilities were nice and very clean. Hotel staff was very nice and always smiling.
Located in Seattle’s northern suburbs, the city of Lynnwood is about 25 minutes by car from downtown Seattle. Although best known as a bedroom community, Lynnwood is home to one of the Seattle area’s better shopping centers, the upscale Alderwood. Nearby, Boeing dominates the city of Everett. Marysville, about 30 minutes north of Lynnwood, has a large casino and outlet mall complex.
