You must be at least 25 ft away from the home and please dispose of all trash. We will impose an additional charge if our cleaning staff smells smoke after your stay. 2\. NO EVENTS, GATHERINGS, OR PARTIES. No outside guests are allowed on the property without the permission of the hosts. We reserve this space for our confirmed, overnight guests. 3\. UP TO 2 DOGS ALLOWED (see additional requirements above). Extra charges will be assigned if there is evidence of damage upon departure. 4\. Quiet hours after 10pm for the neighbors, please. 5\. NEIGHBORHOOD DESCRIPTION: Daniel's Hill is a beautiful, historic neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Lynchburg's shops, restaurants, and events. At the end of the street is an entrance to the Blackwater Creek Trail system, which provides guests miles of paved (and unpaved) walking, hiking, & bike trails. In our neighborhood, you'll find some brick-paved roads flanked with historic lamp posts, a bustling community center with a fenced-in park and playground, sidewalks in both directions, and architecturally impressive homes built from the 1820's to the early 1900's. The people in our neighborhood are just as beautiful and diverse as the houses themselves, ranging from residents who have lived in the neighborhood for 50+ years and others who are new to Lynchburg. On the block alone, there are families with young children, single professionals, and elderly folks. It is a "front porch" neighborhood where everyone knows everyone and they watch out for one another. We love this neighborhood and are proud to call it our family's home. POTENTIAL FOR NOISE: The home is located in historic Daniel's Hill and has beautiful views of the James River. Also situated on the river is a historic iron pipe factory and a railroad. It is fascinating to watch trains go by on occasion and watch the workings of a 24-hour factory (a rare glimpse at American manufacturing!), but please note there is a risk for noise. Our family lives in the neighborhood and is not bothered by it, but we realize it may not be for everyone and some nights work out to be worse than others. We had plenty of room, the house was very clean and well stocked with games for our youngest grandchildren. It was a great central location for our historic day outings, and also central to many stores and great dinning options. The neighbors were very friendly as well! We were very impressed with the inside of the house. The beds were super comfy!! The parking is a bit tight. There is a very nice deck to use - unfortunately, carpenter bees galore. The cons were the wifi - we all had trouble - could not get wifi . Lastly, the yard was not useable; glad we did not have children. It is large and kid friendly. We appreciated how open and clean it was. There was not any clutter or things we were afraid our children would break or mess up. The fenced back yard was great for our dog and there's a small park with playground equipment just two blocks away. The kitchen was spacious and allowed us to cook a few large meals. The eating space was big enough and the living room and rec rooms were great for everything we needed. Perhaps the bet part was showing up and finding that they had put up a Christmas tree for us! The beds were comfortable and the heating/cooling system was great. Bathrooms were clean and in good working order. The house was wonderfully spacious, offering plenty of room for our son, a couple of his teammates, and ourselves. Everyone had comfortable areas to relax and unwind. The property had a view that included the river, but even better for the guys was the trail they had easy access to for long runs along the river. The VRBO itself was well-equipped and comfortable. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We had four adults and seven children, there was plenty of room and beds for everyone. The house was clean, kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to make meals at home. It was so convenient having some essentials supplied by the host such as coffee, sugar, shampoo, conditioner, paper towels, etc. The beds were super comfy. I had read in some previous reviews that the noise from the factory behind the house was disturbing, we definitely agree. We came prepared with ear plugs but the noise from the fork trucks in the middle of the night woke us up several times. The neighborhood was ok. Not exactly the nicest but we did not have any problems and we did not feel unsafe. The owner quickly responded to questions we had prior to our stay and check in was very easy. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home for a vacation. ##### Cristin B.
