When we arrived there was a slight smell of damp and the bathroom light wasnt working and as the landlady was away, it couldnt be fixed while we were there. The Kitchen is pretty well equipped and the beds were comfortable. There is a good amount of storage in the bedrooms. There is a nice swimming pool and gym in the main building of the park but you have to queue for a long time if you want to use the pool as we were there during school holidays and it was clear the facilities arent sufficient if the park is full. The park itself is very nice and well spread out, with a variety of caravans and lodges in a lovely setting. As for our lodge, we loved it from the moment we arrived. It’s really well positioned for accessing the beach, which is about a 10-15 min walk away, and is in a nice and quiet spot on Shorefield. It was clean, cozy and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Kate was always available for any questions before our stay and we got all the information we needed from her well in advance. The kids loved it, and our 6 month old puppy loved sitting on the decking area and watching the world go by on the lake! The lake did get busy at certain times of the day with people fishing on it, nobody was ever noisy, but there were occasions when some people were using space in front of the lodge to fish, which they are not allowed to do. Had we realised they weren’t allowed to, we would have politely asked them to move, as they were spoiling our view! Overall, if you are looking for a cozy lodge experience in a great location and with a very helpful host, this is the one for you. ##### Scott Sartin S.
