A hidden jewel. My wife and I stayed there with another couple after a few days driving through France and Belgium. We were looking for a quiet place to recharge and stayed in individual two bedroom units with a balcony overlooking the river. The staff was friendly and accomodating to our needs, in particular the manager Olivier Bedon. Definitely plan to stay there again.

Lovely spot
Great setting, very pretty location, excellent for walking. We had one of the lodges - good choice. Good parking. Friendly staff. Extensive breakfast range. Nice restaurant. If we went again, we would not choose half board because there was no choice and the main menu was excellent.

Beautiful location!
Beautiful location at the river bank, very relaxed atmosphere. Room has all amenities - not very big, but comfortable and with a wonderful view. Great place for a relaxing hiking stay.

This place could be a returning one if they made guests feel at home. Most of the times I felt like I was an inconvenience, from checking in which I had to wait a long time while the receptionist ran around to a simple task as ordering a beer at the bar. Both guys the works the evening shift seemed very stressed on both days we were there. I stopped ordering drinks at their bar because of how they made me feel.. an inconvenience to them. Sorry but if you work in hospitality you should not feel and show stress as this makes guest uncomfortable. The place is poorly managed. The region is fantastic and I highly recommend choosing a better place, which I will next time.

I have been in many hotels,but here was the first one,where instead to say hallo they gave me a bill for some tax of 4 EUR, that that didn't know what is it for. Also it's suppose to be a 4 stars hotel but didn't find so many stars there...Just the place is beautiful

A Peaceful Escape from the Cities
The hotel grounds were beautiful, and a great place to relax after several on the go days in the city. The staff were friendly, but I could tell it was frustrating to some that we didn’t speak French/German. A little Google translate got us through fine, and I don’t hold it against the hotel that my wife and I are only fluent in English. Our room was spacious and the shower area was really well laid out, especially if you’re tired of somewhat small European showers. The food in the restaurant was fantastic as well. Unfortunately, in our room the WiFi was practically unusable which put a bit of a damper on things. If you’re looking to relax and fall off the grid in Luxembourg, though, definitely spent a night or two here

Lovely setting and wonderful staff. The sauna area is nice but the exercise room doesn’t work at all. The restaurant is pretty good but a little pricey. The room was spacious and comfortable and well decorated. The most important aspect is the peaceful and beautiful location.

Truly wonderful Hotel
The Cocoon Hotel La Rive in Luxembourg is wonderful! The setting is idyllic, the staff warm and helpful, the rooms are nicely appointed and immaculate. The restaurant is fantastic; great low key and charming atmosphere, and the food is divine! The morning of my departure I needed to be on the road back to Paris fairly early and the restaurant didn't begin serving breakfast until 8:00 a.m.. I was directed to the next hotel located approximately 400 meters down the road which began serving at 7:00 a.m.; when attempting to pay I was pleasantly informed that the hotel was part of the Cocoon Hotel as well, and the delicious meal was complimentary. I highly recommend!!!

Breathtaking
You had me a chess deck under the ruins of a castle on a flowing river with hiking through wild orchids, but then you added champagne and fresh fruit to breakfast of freshly laid eggs and rich coffee. If I die tomorrow it’s now ok.

Wonderfully relaxing break in a superb setting
We just loved our overnight stay here. The setting looked great on the hotel's website but the reality was even better! We had a fantastic dinner in an open courtyard by the calming river with the classic Bourscheid Castle perched high above as a backdrop. What more could you ask for after a long day's drive. The hotel was quiet despite the number of guests and the breakfast was a delight. We will definitely go back on our next European trip.

Awesome location but hard to reach on foot
Really nice hotel with relaxing atmosphere great location for hikes and the free breakfast is awesome. Not the best place to stay without a car as the train station is 30mins walk and busses are hourly. Dinner in the hotel and surrounding areas is a bit expensive though so bring food or drive into town. When we stayed the check-in was quite stressful as the night time guy couldn't find our booking! Also the room next to use had builders renovating it one day which was loud and annoying too. Overall though happy stay.

The surroundings are amazing but the hotel itself (in particular the rooms) needs updating. Not enough staff (every night we had to look around to order food or drinks from the bar/seating room area), although everyone was nice.

Comfortable hotel in a beautiful setting
This hotel is tucked away in a beautiful valley with beautiful trees on the surrounding hills and situated on the banks of a pristine river. The staff are friendly and helpful and dinner at the restaurant was memorable as was breakfast .

Fabulous location
Once you have recovered from the amazing views and grounds, you can start to enjoy the accomodation and the excellent staff. Top all this with first class meals. A hotel to shout about if ever there was one.

Great stay
Overall the stay was very good. We stayed two nights and could easily have stayed longer. Very good value for money and the breakfast was very good. Rooms were average but for what you pay OK. Out of the way place so very quiet. Only criticism was the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Great relaxation in the Ardennes
The location is fantastic, right near a beautiful castle which you can reach by car in 5 minutes. Cottage is great, very big and by the river, very quiet. I went with my wife and 7 month old baby, we had a great time. Too bad it rained the 3 days we were there, but nevertheless it's a beautiful region and we were able to drive to many little beautiful towns 15-20 minutes away by car. Free parking, free wifi

Wow, we were fortunate to stay in the suite right on the water. The facilities were modern and more than adequate. Compared to all our other hotels we stayed in - it was really value for money. Suite felt like home! What a pleasant stay! Thank you!

beautiful little gem in the heart of Luxembourg
We found this place by accident planning a trip fro UK to Switzerland on Google maps. The hotel is set in an amazing location surrounded by nature and over looked by a medieval castle on the hill. The owners built the place about 10 years ago, starting initially with just a camping site. Soon aftet they purchased the neighbouring property extending the services offered today. The cabins are fantastic with amazing bathroom area ajoining the room. The service was good but only a few of the staff spoke good English so you will need some basic French/German. We will definitely be considering a longer stay next time.

Hotel at nice location offering lots of activities
We stayed 2 nights at Cocoon La Rive. The receptionist Geoffrey gave us from the very first second a very warm welcome. He is very helpful and gives all support needed during our stay. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed also 2 dinners at the hotel restaurant. Everything was good. The older waiter was a little moody. Both breakfast and dinner were good. We enjoyed a great hike direct from the hotel. And played tennis and went to the sauna afterwards. Also hotel bar is nice, but opening hours could be somewhat longer though. All in all we enjoyed our stay at Cocoon. Once again great thank you to Geoffrey from Amsterdam.
