From the sail, power and workboats going in and out of the harbor into the Patuxent River and Chesapeake Bay, to the sights and occasional sounds of aircraft from NAS Patuxent River, your cares will simply melt away. In addition, the wildlife including all kinds of birds (osprey, eagles, ducks, geese, herons etc.), deer, foxes and many more provide plenty of enjoyment and photo opportunities. The Retreat on the Patuxent is an ideal place to get away for peaceful relaxation, while being conveniently located near the restaurants and attractions at Solomons. My mom loved the upstairs bedroom/bathroom suite, and the downstairs bedrooms were spacious for me, my sister, and her husband. We enjoyed the spacious kitchen, the open family room, and the amazing views of the Patuxent from the front windows.
