Please make sure you won't be driving a sports car with low clearance up. AWD or 4X4 is recommended but usually not necessary unless when snowy or icy. ➞ Please Wipe your foot before enter the hot tub. Pebbles and rocks can damage the hot tub. ➞ We do have StarLink Wifi, and cell signal is usually good and can be used as hot spot when necessary. We recommend enjoying more what the beautiful Shenandoah has to offer and less screen time. ➞ Please wash dishes by hand before check-out. ➞ It's a mountain area, the water sometimes tastes funny and has a smell. You may want to bring your own drinking water. ➞ We try our best to do pest control. But it's in the mountains, homes of flying and crawling insects like flies, mosquitos, caterpillar, gnats, ants etc. We have various sprays in the property, but be prepared to see many of them around. ➞ We have a charcoal grill and a firepit. But we don't provide charcoal and firewood for liability issues. They are easy to find in grocery stores and gas stations. ➞ The house has two fireplaces, but they are not functional. The use of the fireplaces IN ANY WAY is not allowed. Please don't burn down this lovely house. ➞ The jets in the bathtub is not operational. ➞ Clean after your dog ➞ Cover the hot tub and tune the temperature to 99 degree when not using and more. ➞ Violation of the house rules is subject to hefty fines. There's a spot up the gravel road that might need AWD given the conditions of erosion. Our Subaru did fine with automated stability controls and AWD. We loved the small touches like the s’mores basket, indoor lights and AC on when we walked in, and the comfy bed. However, it would have been great to have lights on the pathway to the front of the home because it was dark when we arrived. We weren’t able to close the bathroom window which was a bit unsettling and when we entered the hot tub we found a bandaid floating around. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again if we come back. House has all the basics you need. So nice having a fenced yard for dogs! The road leading to the house was all uphill and extremely bumpy, but we didn’t have any issues getting in and out, but smth to keep in mind for a rainy day. The host responded very fast and the listing is just as pictured. Check-in and check-out is super easy! The night sky is unreal and beautiful! This place is about 40 min from wineries, about 20 min from Luray Caverns and about 25 min from the grocery store. There is a steep less than quarter mile dirt road to the property so bring a 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicle. The place was clean and VERY cozy!
