Underwhelming
We were just resting for the night, so the room was fine. The internet was weak, bed sheets and carpet had stains. The location was great, the commute was easy/simple. The pool was gross, im not sure if it was closed for the season but it looked awful. Staff was courteous and helpful.

The door was locked so the only communication was through a slot in the window. The room wreaked of smoke and had stained furniture. The other hotels in the area did not have locked doors nor smoky rooms

There was some type of renovation going on that would have been nice to know about. The room door would not lock nor did the key actually work. It was the most unsafe cheap experience and I would stay there again ever! I thought there were a good chain of hotels but I was greatly disappointed! I don’t mind paying for a good hotel but make sure it’s safe and clean. I would take this location off Expedia until all the renovations are done and it is up to par. It nowhere looked like the pictures on Expedia.

It was a horrible experience. No toilet paper or Kleenex. Carpeting was disgusting with stains and totally unclean. Lamps were filthy and bedsheets were unclean with stains. All in all a very disgusting night.

We came on a very busy night and we got turned away by the front desk that said that they didn’t have any rooms (even though we had already paid). They called me a little while later to say that our rooms were ready. The staff was very friendly, but there is a lot of deferred maintenance for the property (example our room didn’t have a toilet paper holder, shower badly needed to be upgraded, rotting on the air vents, no trash can in the room). However, the beds were very comfortable and we slept very well.

We got the "best value" of $81, after taxes but the hotel needs renovations. The clealiness was lacking. The walls had stains/smudges of unknown substances. Two of our bathroom towels had dark stains on them. If you need a quick stopin and not worried about quality, this is a money saver. Dont have high hopes for a nice hotel.

Disappointed. Filthy. Horrible condition.
Disgustingly dirty inside and out. Light switches had dark red/brown (finger) streaks. So did counters. Had to go buy some Lysol to clean the room. Everything cleaned off, so must just be lazy or terrible housekeeping staff. The bathroom door would not close at all. The front door was missing the strike plate so the door had an inch of slack in it. No security chain or equivalent. Pool is non-functional. Filthy place. Run!

I got 2 queen size beds and when we arrived to the there were 4 spiders. One on the bed, carpet and walls it was so disgusting and it was a smell. I went back to the front desk to ask for another room and the gentleman was really sweet and nice he gave us a decent room but it was a smoking but hey i rather deal with that then with spiders. But this room look more decent. This place is cheap so you will get what you are paying for but i will not be staying there again sorry. We just needed somewhere to sleep for the night

Not perfect, but comfortable for a night
The clerk who checked us in, was wonderful. We only stayed one night. The tube was dirty upon check in. Was way to tired after travelinb to complain. The bess were cleaned. The room was outdated and locks on doors not so good. But we had a lot going traveling to our family cemetery. We had a late check in and the next morning I called over ro request 1 hr late check out and was told no becasue a group was staying.

Key word is value. It was an older place but the room seem clean but carpet looked like it needed Replacing. Ok for 1 night of very comfortable bed and low price and hit the road the next day. If that is what you want, check them out.

Rather than a list of complaints, I'll just say this hotel is a case of "you get what you pay for". It worked for 1 night but next trip I'll pay a bit more for a better stay.

Quick stop
I know that with a low cost roadside inn my expectations should not be very high. So I went into the room with low expectations and the room didn’t let me down. Beds were sitting on wooden frames. The stairs leading up to the 2nd floor looked as though they would fall apart at any moment. And the room in general was old and musty. But the water was hot and the beds were comfy enough for a quick stop on our way back home to Florida. So if you just need a quick stop to get some rest and showers, this will suffice. If you want a fancy room with nice furniture, soft carpet, and stairs that look newer than 1946, then this isn’t the place for you.

Nightmare
Got to the hotel at 5pm, front desk door was locked. Rang buzzer numerous times for at least 7 minutes, finally some showed up. Had to register through what looked like bullet proof glass. Had previously requested a first floor room due to wife's disability. I was the told there were no first floor rooms available because they were all flooded by Hurricane Matthew 8 months ago. I told the women that this was not acceptable ant to cancel the reservation. She was rude and told me she couldn't do that. I immediately called Travelocity the hotels legal agent, explained what happened, and asked them not to charge me for the room. They told me they would call the hotel, advocate for us, and get back to me. After five days I received a email from Travelocity saying that the hotel said we were no shows and would not issue a refund. I reminded them about the Americans with disabilities act of 1990, which they were in violation of. The operators of this hotel are lyers and dishonest. From some of the reviews we read it is a miracle the city of Lumberton, and the state of North Carolina has issued a license to operate. I intend to do everything within my power to see that this place is shut down.

Hello we are very sorry for the way this was handled by our front desk agent. We do not however have the option to cancel the reservation until you have spoken with Travelocity. We will be giving you a full refund and are first floor rooms are currently under renovation to be opened by the end of this month. Again we are very sorry for the way this was handled and we will be looking into the employee who handled it in this manner. We have done everything according to the city and health inspection regulations as far as the renovations of the first floor

The hotel is convenient to 95. It has no amenities, such as pool or breakfast. The room was spacious and clean. The in room refrigerator was slightly larger than most with a separate freezer. The in room WiFi worked well. Staff was very friendly. I will stay again if I need an overnight in the area.

Overall I got what I paid for. They should do some mantience to the rooms. The plaster was coming off our ceiling, bathroom door was really dirty. But nice hotel if you can't afford alot.

Real bad dump
The first floor was being painted, so I was given a room upstairs. The steps to the second floor had de-laminating metal protruding from the treads. Very unsafe The refrigerator in the room made so much racket I had to disconnect it. It was a 'smoking' room and I took it because it was ten dollars cheaper than the non-smoking. Mistake. It stunk I saw only one other car in the parking lot.

A place for the night
Let's just say "you get what you pay for". We were okay with the room because we just needed a place for one night, and didn't really want to spend a lot of money. The place fit the bill as far as that was concerned. The hotel was just a little run down, parking was not too great, computers were not working at check-in so we didn't have wi-fi, and the electrical configurations in the room were a little sketchy. But, like I said, you get what you pay for, and at least the room was clean and fairly comfortable.

The man at the desk had stringy greasy looking hair. He had trouble checking us in. The room smelled like mildew. There was no information in the room about the hotel or amenities - nothing but a bible and a note from the maid that said have a nice stay. We called the front desk to find out about local restaurants that deliver, and were told we had to go to the desk to look at their list. There was a dead bug on the floor of the bathroom, and we had no ice bucket or cups. They had breakfast - no fruit, watered down juice, dry pastries.

Worse than my usual stay.
There were stains on the comforters. The towel bar was crudely marked with a piece of paper and scotch tape saying "DO NOT USE" and was partly hanging from the wall and the room smelled stale. Overall couldn't recommend this as anything more than an emergency "just need to stay for the night" type place and even then, I would assume there are better options in the area.

In general the room was neat and clean. The carpet would be best described as worn out with dirt and grime embedded within. To the point I wouldn't walk on it bare foot. Other then that it was OK.
