The Historic Emily Filer Home was built in 1880 and has been fully renovated and is ready for your vacation. This fantastically located house is just blocks from downtown and the beach! Enjoy strolling to a restaurant for breakfast, spending the day shopping, enjoying Lake Michigan, or visiting one of two lighthouses! Return to the house in the evening to cook a meal in the fully appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances, or use the gas grill on the deck. Finally, as the sun sets, relax on the patio with a favorite beverage and chat with loved ones around the fire pit. Take a stroll downtown for a coffee at Red Rooster Coffee, or a beer and famous “Lobster Nachos” at the Blu Moon on James Street. Continue exploring the walking paths along the Ludington Marina, and Waterfront Park- a favorite play place for kids. The popular Thursday and Friday Farmer’s Market takes place May to September and is located in the newly renovated Legacy Plaza, an easy 10-minute walk away. The Historic Emily Filer Home has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a fully appointed kitchen, living room with Smart TV, upstairs lounge with Smart TV, outdoor propane grill, and an outdoor seating area with fire pit. It was very roomy, updated, and had unique character. Each couple had their own room and privacy. Our parents live in Ludington but all of us siblings are spread around the nation. This house allowed us all to visit with each other when we weren’t at our mom’s- with all the kids- which is not possible if we had separate hotel rooms. Only recommendation I would have is to include the “host fee“ and other fees in the “price per night“ listing. The property is clean and very close to the downtown, but it is also close enough to the state park to make multiple trips between naptimes. The property owner is responsive and helpful.
