No Elevator!

Posted 31-Aug-2015
Pros: The pool was great.
Location: I highly recommend you take the SS Badger ferry ride from MI to WI. It's a lot of fun.
Be cautious when booking at this hotel, they don't have an elevator. I was traveling with elderly parents and the room we reserved happened to be on the 3rd floor. The staff were able to move us to the first floor but the room and overall experience were not what we had planned on. Also the beds were made poorly and half way through the night the bottom sheet was tangled into a mess.

Way better than expected!

Wow, clean, quiet, comfortable and with a breakfast spread that was well in excess of the typical "continental". Make your own waffles, eggs and sausage (too salty for me), in addition to the usual continental offerings. Pool was great for 8yo while I got time on the treadmill. Fitness room, while not fancy or large, got the job done.

It worked

Honestly, it's so hard for me to pay so much for a hotel in the town my dad grew up in. But Ludington has become a tourist mecca, so there ya go. The cost of the room was over $130 and with that I usually expect a nicer place. There was no elevator or automatic doors. So when we were doing 5 trips up to the 2nd floor room up narrow stairs, I wasn't too pleased. The staff was kind though and helpful. They also loved connecting with the kiddos and making them feel loved.

Would stay again

Staff was very helpful in finding a place to keep our bicycles, a locked breakfast room currently not in use. Good hot breakfast in the morning. Only downside was a slow shower drain.

Hard to sleep due to noise level above us and in the hallway. Room was not cleaned during our stay. Just disappointed.
